Simple and functionalAgnesThis is the best initial choice for our house, for two reasons. One, we just moved into a new house and not feeling the space yet, so this is the perfect curtain rod end to start with. Two, the drapes we bought are similar to paint brush stripes on canvas, so it does not lessen the effect of the curtains. Again, best initial choice, simple, and functional.

Black Raffig finialsRozinaBought them to go with the Racka curtain rods. The finials are plastic, not metal, but my fault for not reading the description more carefully. They look cheap up close. They look okay at a quick glance or from far away. Despite having screws, the Racka curtain rods they were designed to attach to don't have threads into which the finals can be screwed. The ends of the Racka curtain rod have plastic plugs with narrow holes in them into which you have to force thread these Raffig finials. That means, they are a pain to remove when switching out curtains and could loosen each time. They're not worth $2 a pair; they should be a dollar or less even.
