Next GenerationRosemarySome years ago I owned this chair with the high back and I prefer the low back. Really like this chair. The problem with the high back style for me is that it is not comfortable because I am not tall enough. This shorter style does not discriminate based on your height! It does not matter how many inches above the top your neck is placed. However, a tall person may find this chair to be too low for long legs. That said, everyone in my circle under 6 feet tall likes the chair. It's light enough to move around the room as needed, to turn toward or away from the TV, and it shows no inclination, in my experience, to tip. The frame goes well with bamboo furniture and accidental spills clean up well from the fabric. I'm thinking of getting a second chair for the bedroom.5
Ok chairRichardThese chairs lean too far back. I wish they were build a little straighter and the seat was a little higheri have bad hips and this doesn’t work.3
Love, love, love this chairZoranI’ve cherished my three chairs for over 20 years, originally purchased with cushions in blue, green, and brick red. Over time, my husband modified them by removing the neck rests for a sleeker, lower profile—a change I’m thrilled to see echoed in newer designs. I’ve also reupholstered them with vibrant fabrics to better suit our living room’s style. These chairs remain incredibly comfortable and durable, and I’m confident they’ll last well beyond the next five years. I’d love to see the walnut wood option return—it would be a fantastic addition to this timeless design!5
Lots of PotentialDavidReally enjoying our Poang low back chair. Great lines and acceptably comfortable. Take your time when assembling. It is easy overall, but you must follow the instructions to the letter for a good result. I do hope that IKEA introduces a few more cushion cover patterns, as the three available are rather bland/dull and only moderate to low in quality. In fact, that is why only 4-stars. Chair looks terrific but the cushion and covers don't do it justice. That is an easy upgrade, however, with many 3rd party as well as local upholstery specialists as options. Bottom line: great looking chair with a bit of room for improvement. Recommended. 4
Good, but not greatBrianI had a full size Poang for years until the frame eventually gave out. Space is limited so I was real happy to see this smaller profile low-back Poang. It's missing the mark when it comes to comfort, though. There just isn't quite enough cushion. Both the seat and back don't offer much padding. You can feel the boards in your back. I added a Justina chair pad under the seat cushion for a little extra padding. I've even added pads on the armrest for a little extra comfort. There aren't any alternative chair cushions available for this low-back poang like there are for the full size Poang. Hopefully they'll add chair cushions for this low-back Poang in the near future. 3

Good would have been better JehadIt is a good chair would have been better if the back was higher to support the head.3
