Nice, but cannot open zipper to wash the cushion covers. YingThe cushion is beautiful and very comfortable. The cushions have zippers, but built inside out. Therefore, I cannot unzip to wash. It’s unfortunate for the price that I paid that I can’t thoroughly wash it. If I knew this, I wouldn’t have bought this chair and cushion.
Get the Poang Chairs!CandiWe have had our Poang chairs and ottomans for well over 15 years. The old cushions were wearing out, so we decided to get new ones, as the chair and ottoman frames were still in good condition. So glad we did! They are comfortable, affordable, and brought new life to our chairs.
Highly not recommendedJennyI recently purchased your POÄNG chair, but I found it uncomfortable to sit on. When I sit down, the headrest presses against my head while my neck is left unsupported, which feels very uncomfortable. I already have neck issues, and sitting in this chair for a while makes it even worse. I initially didn’t plan to return it, so I threw away the original packaging. Seems can do nothing.

Good Replacement After DecadesRobertThis is a nice replacement cushion after 40 years with the original one that had the flat head/neck piece.
The cushion has a bit of nice give to it. The neck part is just OK. I use a throw blanket over the top 1/2 so the neck part is now good.
I tried the more expensive cushion, but it felt hard and the neck part stuck out too much hurting my neck. (The old original flat'ish cushion in the neck area was perfect. Oh well.)

Velcro does not line upJulieSeveral years ago I purchased a Poang chair with the basic cushion. It was fine and I recently decided to upgrade to the Gunnared cushion. The velcro strip on the cushion does not line up with the one on the frame. I had to lift the cushion up to attach it to the frame. As soon as I sat down in the chair the cushion detached completely from the frame. IKEA, I know I can return this. The question is why couldn't you make the two velcro strips line up? Why was this so hard?

Not bad at all, better than the cheaper cushionKI had a Poang that was damaged in a move, however I went with a cheaper cushion - big mistake. I got this cushion and it makes a world of difference. The previous cushion was essentially cheap foam inside of a sleeve. THIS cushion is significantly better. I went with the Skiftebo dark gray color and the pictures do it justice. The color you see is what you're getting. I'd assume that if you're on the heavier side (225 lbs+) this cushion not might be thick enough for you. If that's the case get the leather cushions. My friend has 2 of them and I'm planning on grabbing another Poang with the white leather. They are EXTREMELY comfortable. However, this cushion is still great and I use it daily for 8+ hours. You can unzip the bottom and back to remove the cushions for easy clean. I find the fabric is durable enough that I vacuum it and it's been going for almost 2 years now. Highly recommend.

I chose this elegant sage green color for the chair and footstool and I love it so much. A great way to renew an older piece of furniture. I'm so glad IKEA keeps restocking the classics. Now if they would only restock the Billy Oxberg bookshelf in birch, life would be perfect!

Beautiful Skiftebo cushionAnonymous reviewerWe have 2 Poang chairs that may be over 35 years old ,with their original, over used cushions. These new cushions make them new, comfortable chairs. Very interesting to see how the construction of this chair has evolved over the years. Our chairs have a cloth, under cover. rather than wood slats.
The cushion is better than expected in color, fabric and comfort. It does not fit exactly , as seen in the catalog. I attribute this to the slight difference in design. Gotta love Vintage IKEA!!

Too hard! Bring back the old cushionsAnonymous reviewerI bought this cushion to replace a many years old leather cushion that has become hard after years of use. However, this one is even harder than the old one! Please bring back softer Poang cushions. I'd prefer leather, but I'd be okay with cloth.
