Note that it's translucent white (not clear)C.Translucent white; I don't know why they call it "white/clear." I ordered it for delivery with some other items, and I guess I shouldn't be surprised that it arrived dirty and scuffed up. But it's cheap and not worth fussing about, so I'll use it for my art table instead of my desk.
Not a good desk padPeterThis desk pad I used on my old wood desk is kinda slippery and moves upon the slight touch. I have to put some tape to stop it from moving. Also found that my high resolution mouse won't work, therefore requiring a mouse pad for it to work. While it is thick, it warps with temperature when I placed my laptop on it and now won't return to it's original shape.
Perfect for what we needed it for - and it was not a deskRobertOne thing I have found about IKEA is many things they sell have multiple uses - and often not what the item was intended for. This was another of those. We needed a thin mat to go on a concrete floor below the door of our clothes dryer so that when putting wet clothes into the dryer and getting dry clothes out - there would be a mat below if they fell to the floor - keeping them off the concrete and clean. This worked perfectly. Just the right size!
Smooth writing yet annoying. JenniferI can use this as a mouse pad and makes writing smoother on my wooden desk. However the edges want to curl. They will not lay flat no matter what I do. It’s really annoying.
Moving a lotYuhongThis is just a slightly thicker plastic sheet. The back has very little friction, so it keeps sliding around on my desk, and it can’t be used as a mouse pad either. For me, it’s not practical, and even as decoration, it feels a bit burdensome.

Nice desk pad, but slipperyDariceThis desk pad is nice and thick so it doesn't curl like thinner ones do. I had one that was thinner and after awhile it started to curl and warp if you put a warm cup of coffee on it. I don't think this one will do that since it is thicker.
The only thing that I don't like about it is that it's a bit slippery so it moves around on your desk a lot. I often find myself moving it back to where it should be.
One side is smooth, the other is textured so you know which side is on the bottom. But it's not reversible if you wanted the option of a second side, you can't flip it over unless you don't care if it's bumpy.
Bought to use for my crafting CeliaI have used this item at a crafting event I attend. The hostess has one for everyone attending. It works great so we don’t damage the tabletops. They clean up easy.

Cheap plastic different than they used to beDanielI have used these desk pads for drawing. They used to be rubbery , now it’s hard plastic. I’m sure you know what I am talking. Cuts easily with a box cutting knife and a straight edge. Can be cut to lime kitchen cupboards or drawers. Makes great “shelf” paper. Cut to fit exactly.
