Perfect to grow with himAdrianaIts so difficult to find furniture for toddlers that don't get obsolete as they grow, which was one of the main reasons we went with this desk, my son loved to sit on our laps when we were working and feel included, that stopped as soon as he got his own desk to put his tablet and toys in. We are in love with it.
Hit or miss?JoseFor a $100, this is a bit disappointing. The screws arrived in an unopened bag, yet some of the screws had marks as if they were used. Furthermore, out of the 4 legs, one did not align properly with the holes. This ended up causing me to strip some of the "new" screws. Fortunately, I had extra screws, and a screw extractor to pull the stripped screws. The bridge between the legs also slightly bent due to it being a thin metal, so beware when you're attaching those. Overall, I recommend you check your holes, have extra tools for mistakes, and be gentle with the metal bridge. I would not buy this again.
quality significantly reducedSamanthaI bought this a week ago and i am amazed at how much lower the quality is now than it was when i purchased 2 of these about 8 years ago. WOW. The version you will get now is just ok. Not terrible, but if I had known it would be more particle board than before i would not have purchased. The metal that holds your cables and stuff was also had lots of the white paint chipped off, and the screws stripped really easily. The bottom of the desk is brown and looks and feels -almost- like cardboard. For $99, I'd recommend looking elsewhere
Incorrect instructions, sharp cornersErinNow that my Pahl is assembled, I really like it other than the sharp corners. I'll be getting something to cover those in case my kids trip near it. We've had that accident happen with them and our own adult desks before, and those corners are more rounded.
The main reason this doesn't get 5 stars is that the crossbar is quite a bit wider than the space left by the legs if you screw the legs in tight. I found a Youtube video of someone who had the same issue. She removed the legs, attached the crossbar to the legs, then attached the legs to the table. I didn't want to do all of that because these screws are tight, so I backed the screws off a couple twists which allows the legs to wiggle enough to insert the crossbar. Then I fully twisted the screws back in. The instructions don't tell you not to fully seat the screws or to screw them in more after the crossbar is attached.
