Actually pretty coolNicholeThis thing is actually pretty cool…. when I first opened the box I was a little surprised because it was not what I had expected. It seemed kind of cheap and flimsy, but turns out it’s actually really neat. It’s easy to put together and while it would be way better to have two people it can be accomplished alone. The Velcro that holds it together is really good and once I had it on the lamp, it looks really nice.5

It’s dark and impracticalRalfThis shade absorbs a lot of light. It’s not a lamp shade to use when you want to illuminate a space (unless you use a bunch of bulbs in it). It’s great. It works well with a few really bright bulbs (I used four bulbs producing over 6000 lumens; my younger kids loved this) or warm bulbs in the evening. Using a single clear filament bulb creates cool patterns. 5
Don't use in your kitchenSamanthaI love this shade. It's beautiful and looks expensive. Ive had it for about a year in my breakfast area. We are very clean and use the kitchen to make meals daily. We noticed today spores growing on the lamp shade. This is disgusting for a kitchen, I have three young children who eat here every meal. It has a felt outer cover that is impossible to clean, already replacing the light fixture is a pain and waste of money. 1

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture.
