Product details
A stable construction in solid wood and hardwood veneer that makes each table unique, with varying grain patterns and natural color shifts that are part of the charm of wood.
The 4-seat table can easily be extended into a 6-seat table using the included self-storing leaves.
The self-storing leaves are easy to insert to extend the table from 4 to 6 and it is just as easy to remove and tuck away under the table top when your guests have gone home.
The extension leaves increases the overhang at each end of the table creating generous space for two more people at the short ends.

Beautiful solid wood tableMichaelJust moved into a new house and needed a table that would serve my family but could also extend for guests. The only problem i had was with soft metal screws needed for the support brackets. I had to go to ikea customer service to get replacements to finish assembly.
Solid and sturdy, just what I needed!RobertWe were looking for a dining table that was versatile in size and length. You would think in Southern California that would be easy to do but not so. Many dining sets are poorly constructed out of materials that looked fake to me.
The Nordviken table is the real deal and satisfied all my wants and needs!
Great Looking Table ValerieThis is a cleverly designed table with a very neutral and pretty stain. We got the antique stain, which is a nice, non-yellow pale brown. Two self stored leaves extend it by a foot on each side, keeping the legs out of the way of the additional seating. The table is sturdy. 18 fasteners hold the top to the base. Assembly was somewhat time consuming as there were pre-drilled holes on the bottom of the table top that didn't line up to anything. Once we figured that out the rest was typical IKEA assembly, meaning well designed. We've received numerous compliments on this table.

Nice-looking table, but could be better JennyIt's a really nice looking table. My husband put it together alone, but needed my help to turn it right-side up when he was done, because it's extremely heavy. It took him about 4.5 hrs to assemble it.
The under-table clearance is lower than what we're used to. You can use the low-seat matching chairs that are part of this set, but we chose not to buy those, because of the weight limit of about 240 lbs., and frankly, we have friends and relatives of all sizes!
So we are having a hard time finding other chairs that are sturdy and low enough for this table. You really can't use a chair with a seat higher than 18 inches for this. The way that the top surface overhangs the sides makes you forger how little clearance you actually have for your legs, which is what I hate about this design. Both my son and I smashed our knees on the underside of this table on the very 1st day that we dined at it, using our chairs that have a 19 inch seat height.

Great purchase!JessicaThe quality and finish on this table is lovely! Definitely will keep this for a while. It’s a nice modern look and can extend to add two more chairs or even switch chairs for a bench! Directions was tricky to understand due to only having pictures but ended up nicely done.
