Bed slates do not support any weight!ChadPlease read this review. I own both the Nordli Queen frame and the Nordli King frame. Started with the Nordli Queen frame and had no problems at all. It takes a little time to put it together but looks great and works even better! Works well for a queen size mattress and even better for a full size mattress because now you have a nice looking/functional ledge all the way around the frame.
Back to the King. This is where I had problems. Putting it together was similar to the Queen so I knew it would take me a little time. No big deal. But when I put in the slates they were the same thickness as the Queen frame but now quite a bit longer. When I layed on my mattress I could tell there was a problem. My wife called it a taco bed. I’m about 6 feet and 180 pounds. My wife is smaller and if we didn’t do anything the bed slates would have broke. I had to set up a sub frame under the bed to support the slates. Just want you all to know what you’re getting into. Other than that, loved the bed!1
Amazing design, amazing storage, abhorrent bed slatsAidenI'm around 250lbs and have used the NORDLI bed frame in a queen. I use a medium firmness mattress. I love the look of the NORDLI and my storage situation has been a lot better since purchasing it, but being a heavier fella is AWFUL when buying a bed with no middle support for the slats. I had one shatter six months ago, and I looked under my mattress again for the first time in a month or two and noticed another split right down the middle, just like the last one. An amazingly snazzy bed that I'd recommend for lightweight sleepers, but I'd explore options that have midbeam support to anyone above 200lbs.2
AMAZING BED FRAME!HannahWow. I found my perfect bed frame. I walked into the store having no idea this was even an IKEA item. So happy I went in and found this. Building it was easy. Everything came together perfectly. I love the design for the fitting of the slats and the 6 drawers are so handy. I just cannot get over how amazing this frame is. I stressed for weeks about finding one and this one is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! love love love thank you so much IKEA5
Wooden slats spliced together and brokeAnonymous reviewerBought this queen bed for my 190 lb 83 year old father in May so he could have more storage. Bed looks nice and was easy enough to put together but I would give zero stars if I could. Wooden mattress slats broke in 1/2 within 3 mos. You can see where the wood is spliced together and split in 1/2 at their seams. Very upsetting because it now became a safety issue for my father. Would love to have been able to upload the picture I have of the broken wood. I have always loved IKEA products and have never had issues before this but I would never buy a bed frame from them again and would think twice about purchasing other items that have to support body weight for safety reasons. 1
Sturdy so far, but, keep in mind that if you use bedside tables you will be blocking the drawers... PatrickI wish I had realized before purchasing that that using a bedside table will block the drawers. There were other bed frames with storage that accounted for this that I would have chosen instead with this hindsight. There are some images in the marketing photos for this that include bedside tables blocking the drawers. Otherwise I do really like the bed frame. The drawers feel sturdy with good sliding hardware. I have no intention of returning it. 4
Excellent Space SaverAdamExcellent space saver with the under bed storage. Bed frame is extremely stable.5
Great bed frame BrandiPerfect bed, saves so much room with the drawers and with the pull out section it has room to grow.5
Storage!KatieGreat bed frame and storage is great addition. Picked up the headboard too. Sturdy and my brother assembled it by himself without issue5
Very Sturdy ChristopherThis is great. Very sturdy, great space underneath with the drawers. It’s great for a smaller place. No complaints. I’ve had it for about 5 months. Super easy to put it together. 5
Very conformable and looks greatAnonymous reviewerWe are very happy with this bed!5
The best I love it!!EvelynEverything I was looking for5
Well designed, not a thought out color scheme.WynneSo I had another one of ikea’s platform beds, the one with two drawers. This one was great I had it for five years. The lip kept the bed in place and the inside of the drawers were a DARKER GREY COLOR which matched with the black. Even though you could only see the inside of the drawers when they were opened. Then I bought this one. It’s black everywhere EXCEPT, the inside of the drawers THAT YOU CAN SEE from the outside due to the cut out. They give you anti skid stickers for your mattress that don’t really work, it’s not mattress specific being that I have an ikea mattress as well. Over all for $500 yes it’s cute but I wish they would have thought it out better. I’d expect this at the price for the other one (was $300). 3
Great platform bedCatherineThe Nordli bed with storage is just what we were looking for. My only quibble is that it's awfully heavy. Note, we added a Hemnes headboard to it.4
ExcellebtJanaWe moved to a smaller house and needed the extra storage. This is a well made product!5

What we were looking for!MichaelPerfect for added storage in small bedroom. Nice color black and soft close drawers work great. Sturdy and well made. So happy we found it.5
Love the storageScottThis bedframe is nice as no dust collects under its bottom, and provides for lots of storage.5
Bed with wooden box frameCindylouGood but didn’t expect to have to put it together myself. That’s the only part I didn’t like.5
niceAvait is very difficult to put together, but, it is worth every penny and every minute putting together. it’s very stable, very nice, and low key. the frame does leave a little room on the side but it still looks good.4
