OK but not greatStefanieI have several of the older Nordli pieces including 2 dressers and 2 beds and they have been great, quality pieces. This new one is made differently. The assembly is more difficult and not very sturdy. Disappointing.
Nightmare ConstructionNicoleI’ve put together many IKEA items, dressers and large pieces of furniture included, and this was hands down the WORST experience thus far. It seems as though some of the fastening pieces have been changed, which would be great — if they fit seamlessly together. This took about 3x longer than it should have to put together. Another unfortunate note was the presentation once out of the box. The dresser itself is as described, but ours came with a large chip on top, multiple scratches and smudges throughout pieces. If it weren’t for my child’s room, I would be disappointed in this purchase.
Very disappointing KevinI own several pieces from the NORDLI collection, including the storage bed, tall dresser, wide dresser, and a smaller chest. I purchased this one to match the rest of my set, expecting the same quality I’ve had with the older versions.
Unfortunately, I was shocked by the difference in construction and materials. The earlier NORDLI pieces use wooden dowels, proper screws, and sturdy fasteners that lock everything firmly into place. This newer version feels completely different — many parts rely on plastic connectors and tension/gravity rather than solid mechanical fastening.
The result is a dresser that feels noticeably less secure and far less durable than previous models in the same line. It does not match the build quality the NORDLI series used to be known for.
Very disappointing and I plan to return it. I would not recommend.
Great dresserMonicaIt was easy to order and pick up at the San Marcos location. Easy to put together. My daughter enjoys all the extra room she has now.
Feels Heavy DutySamThe parts and construction are built a lot tougher than typical particle board. Also the assembly seems simpler albeit a bit more difficult with how much strength is needed to overcome the friction. Might need a rubber mallet or some other force to jam pieces together but the construction is a lot more rigid than previous IKEA designs. Also considerably heavy, consider building really close to where you want the final product to be placed
