Doesn’t turn on…TomI am quite disappointed about this lamp. After the tedious assembly, I inserted the rechargeable batteries and plugged in the cord to charge it. The blinking light indicating it was charging did not change. After several hours, I attempted to turn on the light to no avail. The instructions don’t provide how to disassemble to see if the wires are properly connected. For me, this requires a special trip to Ikea as it’s not that close to my home and I ordered it on line and it appears you can’t just mail it back. Really do better Ikea!
Doesnt workEmmabought it literally just yesterday. Worked for maybe an hour, and just turns off randomly. It stays on for maybe a few minutes now before it shuts off. New batteries don’t help. Really disappointed.
Just doesn’t workJonnaAs MANY others have said, this lamp stops working. I thought my batteries had died, but turns out, it was the lamp. I tried plugging it in and it flickered on and immediately off, never to light again.
In addition to this, the shade design is so wonky. You can tighten the screws as much as possible, but bump the shade and it will easily tilt.
So cute and loved the idea of a rechargeable/ battery powered light, especially for black outs, but this should’ve never been released.
So cute but doesn’t workSidneyI absolutely love the look of this lamp but it stopped holding a charge within a couple weeks and then completely stopped working shortly after that
Very cute, not functionalBrianVery dumb lamp but very cute. Fully charged batteries don’t help. Light turns off immediately. Blinks constantly while plugged in, not good for night use. Doesn’t work as it should.
Deception MariamI bought it for not even a month and it’s just turning off pfff and hard that I wanted so much to have it
Doesn't Hold ChargeGwenI should've read the reviews before ordering. When it's plugged in it functions fine, but I've tested it with multiple different batteries, including the recommended rechargeable ones, and it can't run for more than an evening at the most before it dies and has to be charged. Worse, it lights up when charging, so you cant charge it overnight. I expected the recommend batteries to do better than generic non-rechargable ones, but they do worse. But if you run it off name-brand high power batteries it will still use them up every couple of days, which gets expensive quickly. If it came with a color-matching charging cable, maybe I wouldn't mind leaving it plugged in so much, but as-is it's just frustrating to use and disappointing. You shouldn't need to spend $100+ for a decent bedside lamp.
Cute little lampAdamRan into the issue with the light turning off immediately after turning on after a few hours of use: one batt had low voltage (0.88V while rest were at 1.2V), so probably a good idea to not assume that the batteries you put into your lamp are all charged to the same level. Worked fine with fully charged batts. Price isn't too bad for something that essentially includes a NiMH battery charger in design.
HORRIBLE LAMP DO NOT BUYVeronicaThis lamp worked for like a week and then won’t hold its charge. It won’t turn on even when plugged in and brand new batteries. POS lamp, waste of money. Better off buying a lamp from amazon or target
Batteries die so fast!RebeccaSo sad, I waited a long time for the pink lamp to come back in stock and when I finally got it I was first disappointed that you needed a screw driver to access the batteries and then discovered that the batteries barely last a few minutes. We've tried changing them out, charging them, using non-ikea batteries with no luck.
DissapointedMichelleI really wanted to love this lamp . I got and assembled it then turned it on only for it to really just function for a day (died within a couple of hours, which was weird considering the batteries were new) . I tried to recharge it (since I thought it was the batteries) and it lasted 2 secs . I turn it on and it turns off. I haven’t even been able to properly use it as it should be and I just want to return it .
Useless lamp in the world AndrewWhat a cheap pos! Battery’s go out to quick and the screw is sho cheap to hold the battery plate in it will strip and won’t screw in any more. DO NOT BUY!!
Perfect light for the bedroomLigaI purchased this light for my bedroom. Ineededa soft light for getting up in the middle of the night. It was fairly easy to set up. I ordered the recommended rechargeable batteries and so far so good.
Would give zero stars if I couldJaneDoesn’t work, horrible design. Such a disappointment. We live four hours from nearest IKEA so it’s not worth the gas to even return it. Incredible letdown.
Broke immediatelyBennettWires got severed when attempting to snap the lamp post to the base. Don't buy this.
Doesn't workYvonneListen to the reviews. This lamp worked for less than 30 minutes. I used both batteries and the USB-C charger and it would turn off immediately after turning on. It's definitely a cute design, but at this point it's useless as a lamp.
cute soft lightAnniethe reviews are all over the place but I've have zero issues with mine. had it for almost a year now. I use it for nighttime winding down for bed and if I get up during the night, so I don't need to turn on the bright overheads. so I don't keep it on for more than 1 or 2 hours tops. holds charge, turns on and off when I need it. mines a pink one. and I charge it with the same cord as my ipad/MacBook. maybe the quality between the two colors are different.
Screw on the bottom so tight it stripped and now I can't get it open..LiamNot a functional product. SO cheap that the screw stripped within seconds of me trying to open it and so now I can't even use it. Let me guess, "Oh no! You have 180 days to go hours out of your way to return a $16 product! We won't just give you a refund for a useless item! Hope this helps!"
Should've read the reviews ughEvanBatteries die constantly and will only stay on for about 30s when low. USB-C doesnt work. It's only purpose is decor
Basically GarbageClaraWhile I was drawn to the design, this lamp is not functional at all. It’s also misleading as rechargeable—there’s a USB port, but it doesn’t actually charge. After inserting new batteries, the light just flickers and shuts off. Complete waste of money. Not sure why they are selling this.
