wish it was brighterAnonymous reviewerI bought this for doing jigsaw puzzles. The main reason I picked this one, is due to the clamp, I can clamp it on the edge of my puzzle board and it is mobile when I move the board from table to couch, works great for that.
Based on the other reviews though, I did think it was going to be brighter. Works fine, casts a pretty narrow light though. (too bad I can't attach an image here to show) 4

great hack :)WmdI just bought my 2nd lamp, I think they r great BUT
they keep sliding down. No problem just go to Home Depot and get a pack of rubber o-rings.
Remove the cord from the shaft, slide the bracket off. Then put on your rubber o-ring, run your finger on the top of the o-ring pushing it up to the desired position of the bracket. Then place your bracket on and plug the cord back into the bottom. There you go, the o-ring will rest on top of the bracket and not let the rod slide down : I used EVERBILT #45 black, you can get it at Home Depot.
It's a good thing : )

Do Not BuyFangThe light bulb starts to blink like crazy after one year of light use (less than one hour per day). And there is no way to find a replacement so the entire lamp becomes trash. Do not buy this!1

Great value. Looks more expensive than it is. MarkIt has a clean, simple look with a fine finish. It’s an improvement over an older model with a flexible metal neck. The light intensity and color are just right for reading. The Nävlinge with a round base rather than the shelf clip is even better looking if you don’t need to clip. 5
Vertical bar doesn't stay in placeHannsThe rubber tube in the clamp that is meant to hold the vertical bar in place is useless. Any time you try to adjust the gooseneck, the vertical bar slides down.2

Great minimalist light!NancyI was apprehensive to buy it after I read one review ripping it apart but I’m glad I did! I have the Tarva bed and I hadn’t been able to find anything to fit on the pieces of wood on the headboard but the clamp on this lamp is ingenious because it adjusts in a way that I had not seen before. I don’t think you’ll be sorry buying this lamp and if you are you have plenty of time to return it lol! It’s a very nice small design. Great for a little reading in bed before you go to sleep!5
