It’s a shape that’s used throughout the series, from chairs to tables. “The frame gives NÄMMARÖ a uniform and contemporary look. It’s also modular thinking that simplifies the production and lowers the cost. And since NÄMMARÖ doesn’t have any curved shapes, the products are easy to pack in flat packages.” It contributes to a lower price and saves valuable space during transport – all the way from the factory to the customer’s home.

Difficult assemblyAnonymous reviewerAdorable chairs, however, I’m struggling to even put these together. IKEA advertises the use of a Phillips screwdriver when I’ve found that this strips the screws during step 1 and a Polzidriv actually works better. Took me awhile to realize that and I’ve had to order spare parts twice and hired someone to help me with these. Not worth the headache in my opinion. Hopefully I can get these chairs assembled before summer ends.

Perfect patio reclining chairs!AnonymousThese chairs are beautiful and comfortable with the added pads and feel very sturdy. Please be careful to avoid pinching your fingers when adjusting the reclining position or folding them up for storage. Speaking of folding, I still haven’t figured out HOW TO FOLD. I see nothing in the literature and assembly instructions and so far nothing in any of the many reviews I have read. I’m sure I will eventually figure it out, but it seems to be a well guarded secret so far! I do highly recommend these anyway. I wish I could post a photo because they really are stunning.
What is up with Nammaro folding chairs?!?!KatharineI have the basic version of this chair and it's super comfortable. It's incredibly frustrating to fold, but figured it out (shouldn't require any figuring out). This chair adds a dimension which seems to make it almost impossible to fold. I haven't figured it out yet. I would like to figure it out so it doesn't have to be a permanent part of my living room furniture. It's a lovely chair, but would like to store it when not needed.
It's very comfortable, a little tricky to assemble, but not impossible. It does seem close to impossible to fold. I haven't figured it out yet and this is already after owning this product line of basic chair. IKEA must go back to the drawing board on this. The reclining part works fine and the comfort is great but I really think the inability to fold without an advanced PhD in engineering is ridiculous!

Hard Recliner ChairKurtWe got 8 chairs for a large outdoor dining table. The seats are very hard and require the pads as essential. The folding triggers by pulling up on the arms, which also collapses / reclines the chair; this takes some getting used to and may startle your guests. They are also heavy and this makes them not so portable. Apart from these criticisms we love the chairs and Bondholmen table combos.

Unexpected surpriseTimFound 2 chairs in a shed we recently purchased on a lake. They had been neglected for God only knows how long. The stain and finish were in significant distress. So, dismantled one ,only to discover they had an IKEA stamp underneath. Glad I only took one apart, because assembly without instructions or a finished product to refer to would have been a nightmare. After a little time and elbow grease I've restored the chairs to their original condition (minus the stain). Now, with 2 new cushions I'm proud to say the chairs look as good as new. I look forward to having them as a staple on or deck for years to come.
