Not Stainless Steel Due to RustRichardI do understand cost for quality trade offs, but these are unacceptable in quality. As other reviewers have noted, the set rusts very easily in a dishwasher and for me, even under handwashing. These were used for winter fishing utensils but did not last more than four meals. The stainless steel alloy used is likely less than food grade 304 alloy, and I am having a couple of pieces sent to the analytic chemistry lab to see what was used in their shoddy manufacturing.
Very poor qualityKseniaRough edges, very cheap low quality. Had to throw the set way. Just a waste.
Don’t recommend ArdakAs a loyal IKEA customer for many years, I have never written a negative review before, which makes this especially difficult — however, the seriousness of this issue leaves me no choice. Years ago I purchased clear food containers with green lids; while the first set was good, a later version felt thinner and less reliable. Unfortunately, the worst purchase in my entire history with IKEA has been the flatware I recently ordered. I bought three full sets expecting IKEA’s well-known standards so I would always have clean utensils while others were in the dishwasher, and I even donated my previous flatware to charity because I trusted IKEA’s quality. The utensils raise serious safety concerns: the material looks questionable, the edges feel unfinished, and items that touch the mouth should never feel sharp or unsafe. They are also unusually short and uncomfortable for an average adult. I respectfully ask IKEA to review product safety and provide a resolution.
Flimsy cheap lookingLorenaGood price but cheap made
Perfect spoonMikeAs a neurodivergent person the large spoon is my favorite! I wish they sold that spoon alone. The set itself is cheap enough that I've purchased multiple just to have the spoons.
FineMarisolVery satisfied with these utensils. Good price.
Favorite CutleryAshleyI'm kind of picky about cutlery shapes, and this set just really does it for me. I especially like the knife shape! It's very pleasant. Also, I worried at first about the spoon shape, but no worries! It's all optical, and the spoon holds liquid perfectly :)
UtensilsConnieCute but out of box thin and cheap
Rusted after first washAnonymousOne trip through the dishwasher and two of the knives are covered in rust spots. Overall the set is a good budget option, but the finish will obviously not hold up. We’ve had a set of Dragon from IKEA that has lasted for years.
Rust after first washMonica DianeI received a different set of kitchenware than what I ordered. The name of the item is the same, but it looks different and rusted after the first use. :(
Little spoon is a little too littleJamesThe Little spoon is a little too little but the big spoon is not as big as in other sets so its a good trade off.
Worth moneyAnnascratches easily, too soft metal, rust after dishwasher and crooked
Back up silverware package.JudithThis silverware package is very small, but it’s very nice. It works.
Gladysgc GladysNice spoons, fork, n knife set. It was a mother's day gift for my daughter
Great beginner setRoyBought this set for my brother and he loves it.
I never thought a fork could be wrong LeemanPurchased in 2020. The fork is fiendishly designed to make you wish you'd opted for a more expensive model. The form factor of the fork gets narrower the closer you get to the ends of the tines, so everything you cant spear falls off. If you don't stoop down to within 5 centimeters of your plate, your salad ends up everywhere. Honestly can't believe they were this affordable, but 5 years later I'm still regretting the purchase.
Great product ArnieGreat set of utensils from IKEA
Smaller than expected ElizabethThe small spoons were more like child’s size than I expected but the set is nice. The forks, large spoons, and knives were a standard size and very nice.
Horrible - do not recommend purchasingKarenI understand the price point will reflect the quality but we were not looking for anything fancy as these were to be used for parties rather than disposable utensils. There is a strange residue on the flatware! Dishwasher, hand washing, soaking in baking soda/vinegar, and testing bar keepers on them still yielded odd tarnished dull looking utensils. We bought just before hosting a party for the holidays and had to make do. I do not recommend these and have bought different IKEA flatware in the past and never encountered this issue - major disappointment!
