Care

Wipe clean using a damp cloth and a mild cleaner.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

I would suggest being very carful when asembling because it's very delicate. Made from like pressed wood. I felt that the "metal" from the screws were very like felt like plastic.4

Great desk, but minor assembly issues.WendyAll hardware was included, and assembly was not difficult. However, we were unable to fully attach the top due to several issues with the machining of the screw holes to complete the process. Luckily, it was the top so between gravity and all other parts of the desk being secure, I’m able to use it. First time buying an IKEA product in a while, and I’m always hopeful that assembly will go well. But it’s definitely a hit or miss experience. I don’t mind doing the work for the price, but at least give us workable pieces to do the job.4
Beyond CheapCentral Park WestThis desk could not be more cheaply made, it is scratched and scuffed by ever single thing i put on it from my laptop to remotes. I dropped a small object on it today and it literally put a golf ball sized dent in the top of the desk it is not even close to worth the money. Ikea says "accidents" are not covered despite it just being poor craftsmanship1

Nice desk for apartment JosephI really like this desk, especially the underside where it hides wires. It’s a little small on the depth, so monitors can’t have a huge stand and it’s difficult to use a monitor stand, but overall it’s very sleek, and very nice for my apartment, good quality as well. 5

Desk is scratched within 3 hours ownership.LydiaThis desk is horrible. We have had it built for 3 hours and it is already scratched on top. We bought it thinking it would be like another white desk that we bought from Ikea before that has a gloss finish and hasn’t scratched once in the 10 years that we have owned it. This desk is nothing like it. It doesn’t even have the little soft close dot stickers for the drawers to close nicely and not bang the desk every time you close them. The returns process at Ikea is such a drag plus we will have to disassemble the thing to get it to our closest store. It’s unfortunate that Ikea are selling such garbage. 1

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.

Like keeping in touch with friends, downloading films and music, working or printing out tickets. The goal was to create a real dream product with maximum functions in a minimum space. One smart thing is the built-in cable management, so you can hide away all the cables. Another is that all the parts have the same depth and height so everyone can create their own favorite combination."
