Does not close properlyStephaneThe two included rails are mounted diagonally which ends up crooked. No amount of tuning on the adjustment screws fixes the problem.
In our case we have two units and one of them cannot close as it bangs agains the door next to it, the other one closes but still rubs on the side. Visually it looks bad, but functionally it is broken. We have been trying to get replacement rails but without success so far.2
Maximera pull out interiorElainePull out is difficult to assemble and lone up properly when placed in cabinet. Consequently the door does not pull out smoothly as it should.2
hard to useBradleyThis set is very hard to use. The lower drawer is completely covered by the upper level and therefore hard to get things in and out of and also hard to see what you have. I would like this if the bottom level was attached to the door front and the top drawer slid independently. It was also difficult to install.1
Good, but needs more supportBettyInstalled this, but it felt a little sloppy, since there's only one rail/glide on one side at the top and one rail/glide on the other side on the bottom.. We were able to order & install additional rails - feels more secure now.4
Insufficient mounting info in description and images.DawnNeither the product description nor images indicate that the sliding rails must mount to a solid side panel on the cabinet interior, or that the front of the rails fasten to a front panel. From the 3D view, it appears to be a free-standing unit that fastens in the back of the cabinet. I examined the assembly instructions first and saw that this won't work for my kitchen island.
I needed 2 sets of 2-tier sliding drawers for an island with dual 12-inch face frame openings with doors. The island is open underneath with no divider between the two cabinet doors. This product won't work for that type of configuration. I need to return them.1
refuses to alignElleI have assembled TONS of IKEA cabinet doors and drawers and have only had major alignment issues with this one. It's terrible! It's bizarre that there are only 2 tracks instead of 4, and I think that's what is contributing to the misalignment. I followed the instructions exactly, but the upper right corner of the door is too far to the right so it will not close smoothly without hitting the side cover panel. I have tried all the adjustment tricks to no avail. Since it's already assembled I doubt this can be returned--such a waste!1
Design flawChristineAfter I assembled it, I noticed the bottom sticking out further than the top. I made the adjustments shown in the instructions as far as they would go and it made no difference. Then I looked online for help and noticed several long threads discussing the same issue without any resolution. Then here I noticed several reviews with the same issue. So far no resolution. I would say if having things line up well is important to you, I would not purchase this item.1
Love it for my spicesAlexIt’s awesome
Using it as my spice rack in the kitchen and it works amazing5
Step 26!AnnaI too had misalignment problem until I saw review that called attention to Step 26. The right side glide attaches using BOTTOM row of holes. I know Ikea does like words, but one arrow saying bottom would have made it all better. Works fine, agree with others to put in sides.4
TerribleMeghanIf I could give no stars I would, this cabinet doesn’t have 4 glides it has two offset and the cabinet doesn’t square. We moved both glides to the upper position and it works okay. But I’d rather it be an actual functional cabinet instead of something I’m now scared to put in anything with weight.1
Piece of CrapRobertThis is a piece of crap, don't buy it. To make it work, you have to buy another drawer and use the 2 slides that come with the new drawer and throw out the drawer, so it really costs $140. Ikea only put 2 slides on it and the design is flawed. If you put spices in the drawers, it will tip sideways and jam. If I could give it a zero I would. Ikea doesn't sell the slides separately so you can just buy 2 more.1
Not the best use of spaceKristinaIKEA can you please make an option to turn the 12”w base cabinet into a pull out trash cabinet with trash can included? Would be such a better use of the space. Honestly I’m not sure what people store in this thing.3
AwesomeKennethVery nice design and good quality5
Handy for condiments and oilsJocelynWhen installed adjacent to a cooking range, it's handy for oils, bottles of vinegar, and cooking utensils.5
do not recommendChristinavery difficult to make and holds a limited amount of things. lots of wasted space between the 2 drawers. def better off with shelves and a regular door.1
Works for usElizabethI wanted a pull out drawer for a tall trash can. I removed the top drawer, only keeping the bottom. It has been working perfectly for the past few years. The trash can fits and I have room to add a box of trash bags.5
Hate this cabinetBettyOf all the kitchen cabinets I’ve purchased from Ikea, I hate this one. It is useless. I’ve tried using it in so many different ways, nonetheless it is a pain. I thought it would be a great cookie sheet/ cutting board cabinet, nope. The sheets and boards lean out of the cabinet ever so slightly so that they bang against the cabinet when you try to slide the door close. If it was only 15 inches instead of 12 inches OR if IKEA would read theses reviews they would figure out that their customers are frustrated with this cabinet! Make some damn accessories/ upgrade for this cabinet!1
Love itDianaIf properly installed, it is great! Wish they’d make for 15 inch cabinets5
Possible Helpful InstructionRonI have three of these and finally figured out the reason I was having issues was that I put it together incorrectly. I was using the same holes on both of the sliders/rails. It turns out (see instruction step 26) that the slide for the right side uses the lower set of holes instead of the upper set of holes used by the left slide. This fixed all of my issues and made everything align and work so much better. Hopefully this will help someone else too.4
The worst thing I’ve ever bought from IkeaAnonymousThere are only two drawer tracks. The thing does not balance and is impossible to get right. Just don’t.1
