Valuable, Durable Kitchen ComponentJamesI purchased this product for additional improvements to a kitchen partially completed with IKEA cabinets. It was absolutely a joy to be able to find the parts that work together, function together, and all look correct to create a seamless re-upgrade. The functionality and endurance of these drawers are phenomenal. They can hold cast iron pans and be semi-abused and show no signs of wear or reduced functionality . The VEDDINGE drawer fronts look great but are not the most durable. Yet, on the positive side, they are easily replaced without significant effort or cost making the kitchen very durable. And should you decide to you could give it a complete new look with only purchase of fronts. So this review is basically in praise of the construction and design of the SKETION kitchen line at IKEA and all the possibilities that adapt to your schedule and needs.

Fits a lotJulieThe medium size drawers fit a lot depending on what size Sektion cabinet you get. You can simply use as the medium drawer or you can add a smaller drawer within to provide dual use of the space. We have done both as it worked well for our purpose
Best kitchen cabinet drawer!AnnIkea's Sektion Kitchen components and the Maximera Drawers are easy to assemble and use. Bought these to add a tall cabinet in laundry room as a broom closet, after installing my Ikea kitchen.

So SMOOTHGaryThe Maximera drawers are every so simple to assemble, quick and durable. The drawer rail system is also very flexible with creating several drawer heights in the cabinet - what one big drawer? 5 smaller drawers? or combination of any 5" increment. Don't remember the weight capacity of the drawers, but I believe they are 75 lbs - WOW, who would every have that kind of weigh in a kitchen drawer.

overcomplicatedAlekseyThe assembly is over complicated, too many details to notice (e.g. bottom drawer assembly is different from other drawers). Hard to calculate rail height. The instructions are not clear - drawer heights are not shown, have to guess them. Would not buy again.
