I had to put a soft padded thing for my cat in there because it didn’t come with one. It’s not stiff and sturdy like a hard carrier. I got so many compliments on it!5

Roomy for a car rideVerified BuyerThis actually has 3 mesh ventilation windows (one not noted in the description is on the second zippered end, though this window is shorter than the full-mesh zippered side). Bought this carrier for car travel for an older cat, got a second for an overweight deer chihuahua with arthritis who has trouble turning around; might be a little tight but will help keep her calm during a long drive. Does not include the cushion in the pictures, but that is available to purchase separately if needed. Seems like it is made well, folds up nicely (when folded for storage, it fits perfectly in a carry-on sized luggage). Zippers work well, I like the two-way zipper option. There are a handful of fasteners to hold the metal framing into place, they are a little hard to unfasten for people with arthritis, but not a deal-breaker. This a wonderful option for the cost. Unfortunately this us not suitable for air travel, you should be aware of this fact. I intent to use for car travel. Will have to buckle through the carrier's straps for some security, there aren't any other hooks or loops meant for securing into a vehicle seat. Otherwise, this is a great value, I recommend this carrier.5
