I think everyone could use stainless steel salad serversYvetteI have wooden salad servers, but I got these because the metal is thinner, so more precise, and so there's less of a chance of crushing the lettuce. I wish the handles were longer though, but these are not overly short. I also wish the handles had ergonomic curves to them along the length, because the present design is just like a plank. They could have just put a curve in the handle and it would still have a minimal aesthetic but would be more functional. I love minimalism, but not to the point where things are just missing and left off.
If I find some with longer and more hollow handles, I will get them, but for now, these ones are good. They certainly look fantastic, very shiney and "professional" looking. I do recommend these because metal salad servers are the best, I think, but I wouldn't necessarily want to give these as a gift, except as a "first apartment" gift.
