Easy to install and easyAPRILEasy to install and easy care.5
Kitchen CountertopsJeffreyI installed in my kitchen with the Aksatd blue cabinets. Really good looking pure white laminate tops. I cut a 45 degree for the corners since product has a slight rolled front edge. Just look out for damage to the finished edge, Mine had slight damage on a couple of the pieces but I was able to hide it with white seam fill from the corner cuts.4
CountertopSUSANWorked perfect in the laundry for a countertop. It does not get a lot of wear of tear so I can't comment on everyday use. However, it was easy to cut to fit our cabinet, install and cleans well.5
Great valueDeannaThis desktop/work surface is awesome. It is the perfect depth for my craft room and having two together in an L shape has given me the anchor and workspace essentials for my room design.5

We used this as aJenny H.We used this as a counter on top of 4 upper cabinets (also from Ikea) to create a bar type eat at counter. Works as expected and cleans well.4
Perfect craft tableVickieI am using this as a crafting table top. I put it on top of 2 desk height cabinets. Looks great, nice work top and easy to clean.5
Great counter top at a great priceHappy in NpbI brought this for an contemporary office kitchen. it looks great and has held up well. Ikea has a much better contemporary counter top selection than Home Depot or Lowe’s.5
Great valueMojo JoeGreat value for the money. Like the wrap-around edge on the front.5
Great ValueMardiSI opted to use this instead of granite for my master bathroom counter. It has a clean modern look, we were able to install in DIY an save a bundle of money. The result of painting the cabinets, replacing the old cultured marble shell sink vanity top, and installing new fixtures transformed our bath into a spa-like oasis.5
Makes a great custom desktopCherylBKA section of Lillträsk countertop is perfect for making a custom-width desktop.5
New CountertopChrystallaI wish I had purchased the other version that was a little thicker. Since I am only renting it was value for money. I had to cut this down then take it to the Hardware store to do the milling and it chipped a little on the edges. Then I installed it over a wall cabinet that I made into a floor cabinet. Value for money I paid. Wouldn't use it if it was my Kitchen that I was renovating.3
Fit perfectlyLeeinOlyIt fit the space and our needs perfectly. And we were thrilled with the low price.5
Used for a kitchen islandglass doorUsed for an upcycle project and made s kitchen island5
Just what I needed!!!Molivo76I bought this countertop to use as a desktop with two Alex Drawers on either end. The particleboard made it very easy to attach all my computer components underneath the countertop to clear up space on top. The ease of cleaning the top after a coffee spill reminded me of why I bought this. The coffee wiped up without leaving a stain.5
Weak box, check/open before leaving the store!bobby from 408Boxing - very little protection of the countertop while in box, resulting in many damaged product before leaving the store. I bought 2 and didn't think to much of it, but when I got home, there were two very large dents on the edge side of the countertop, luckily, I was able to salvage it due to needing to cut 1 into two pieces. But I had to drive back to Ikea (30-40 miles away) to get an replacement for 1. At the store, they had to bring 3 to the will call area because each one they brought had damages. Product - The laminate has a texture to it which makes it easy to get dirty. Cutting it with a miter saw worked fine. I wish that over the mdf, they used a hard type of wood to make it a stronger product.3
PerfecrAnn52Wanted a simple counter for my craft room This was perfect. The price was great when u Compare it to big box stores it was very heavy But I guess that’s because it was meant for a kitchen5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What are foil and laminate?

Some wooden materials need protection with a durable and easy-care foil or laminate surface. The choice depends on the end use and desired finish. We often use paper foil for storage furniture, while plastic foil suits demanding areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Today, the plastic we use is mostly recycled and our goal is to use plastic from renewable sources. Laminate is made of resin-impregnated paper, which adds a durable and moisture-resistant surface for countertops.

Quality

Built and tested to last

We believe that our kitchen countertops should meet your highest demands when it comes to design and performance, without compromise. That’s why we test our countertops, and put them up against the everyday challenges they’ll face in your kitchen: liquids, oil, food, steam, heat, bumps and scratches. When they’ve passed our testing, we know they’ll last, and we guarantee it with our 25 year limited warranty.
