comfortable but weirdly difficult to assemble?NesheimThree stars because this chair is very nice and comfortable, but why is it so hard to put together? I ordered two of these chairs to put at my counter and BOTH of them had the same issue - there was one screw that just would not fit in the pre-drilled holes. I know Ikea is cheap but for over $100 I would expect the holes to actually be aligned properly. Chairs shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to assemble and I was stuck on these for at least 30 minutes each. The metal legs also don't go together seamlessly, which is part of the reason that the holes are misaligned. Ikea, seriously, do better.3
Overall Good, but ShortSynwonDesign, color, and materials are good. Seating on this chair is comfortable, but its height is too short for my counter table to see in comfortable. A discounted price was the major decision point, and it was a good decision.4
Stylish/ Solid Counter Height StoolDavidWe went to IKEA and were pleasantly surprised that there were counter height stools that met our needs of 24" height w/ back support The Glenn (need a seat pad) and Lillanas were worth consideration. We ended up getting the Lillanas for our usage of people 5'-5'10", < 180 lbs): The Good: Very nicely styled, extremely easy to assemble. The structure is solid/strong but is very light. The padded flat seat is 14" deep that gives good leg support, the 13" high back supports without being too low. The leg cross brace provides good foot support. Good styling. The Bad: The 24" seat height is a bit low for our counter, we'll add an additional seat pad for added height. The current fabric and padding looks good new, not sure how well it will hold up over the years. as it will probably compress with usage. The steel frame looks good and I hope it stays rigid over time. Overall, we love the contemporary style, solid comfort, quality and very low price, finding the Lillanas was serendipitous.4
Solid chair with simple clean lookFredBought four of these to go at my kitchen island. They went together easily and quickly. I put all four together myself within twenty minutes. The metal frame is solid but also a tiny bit flexible. The foot bar is a good height. All four instruction books where stapled together wrong so the pages were 3, 4, 1, 2, 5 which would be confusing for someone that doesn't know numbers. I wish the packaging was a bit less wasteful. There seems to be a lot of excess cardboard to allow easier stacking rather than reduction of materials. Despite the packaging, this is a great product and I'm happy with how it looks and feels in my space.5

Could be a little higher for a 93cm standard kitchen bench height, the chairs being 63cm high seat, but it's still acceptable and they are comfortable to sit in. Also easy to assemble.

Choose the right height of your bar stool so that it is comfy to sit on, offers plenty of leg room and is proportionate with the rest of your space. Kitchen counters and counter-height tables typically range from 34-36" from the floor. To find the perfect stool for your counter, look for a seat height of 23-26". Tabletops or counters that measure between 39-42" from the floor, are typically classified as "bar height", and require a seat height of 28-30".
