Kitchen cabinetsSteveWe got exactly what they advertised exactly what we paid for a fair deal. That’s the way it should be no hassles.5
Expensive but useful for what I needed it forEricI used this as end panels for some built in Ikea kitchen cabinetry I used for built-in storage in a Family Room project. Since I needed about 45 inches of panel, this 90 inch panel was great, since it was a single cut and no waste. It looks good and covers the white of the base cabinets used for a mostly black and dark furnitured room.5
Not Real WoodBlakeWe did our entire kitchen remodel with the Lerhyttan collection because we wanted stained solid wood for durability. After our contractor had installed the cabinet boxes, we discovered the cover panels are actually particle board with a veneer. Even though the cabinets look good for now, I'm very disappointed that I paid $165 for ONE board that's NOT real wood!2
IKEA KitchenMaryI would highly recommend this kitchen to anyone. Easy assembly and very high quality. Customer service when we had questions was also over the top! Love my new Kitchen!!!5

Panels are sized incorrectlyAnonymousThe cover panels for the 15 deep cabinets are set to the wrong height. If you purchase 24 deep x 30 height cabinets, you will get a 30 tall cover panel. However, if you purchase 15 deep x 30 height cabinets, you will get a 31-3/4 tall cover panel. There is absolutely no logic for this, and the call center salesperson had no explanation for it. Unfortunately, our kitchen is a row of 24 tall cabinets backed by a row of 15 cabinets. So one set of cover panels will be taller than the ones right next to it. The call center rep did recommend that I saw them down to size. Right...I spent $50 for a piece of painted wood...only to have to go get a saw and cut it down.1

What is veneer?

A veneer is a thin wooden sheet attached to things like particleboard to add a durable surface and a natural wood look – so we enjoy the many benefits of wood without using solid wood. The most common veneer types are birch, ash, oak, and beech, and we’ve made a special UV lacquer that helps preserve the wood's natural structure. A benefit with a slightly thicker veneer is how you can repair and sand the surface if it’s damaged to give furniture a longer and more beautiful life.
