Easy to assemble, looks goodJohnI don't understand the negative reviews. I have six of these, and each was a breeze to attach to the walls. No, IKEA does not provide the wall screws because each wall is different: plywood? drywall? brick? concrete? Do a little bit of homework on what material your wall is made of before blaming IKEA. Assuming you use the proper screws, these shelves can support quite a bit, and they look sleek at the same time.

Misses the markJazzminWood shelf does not fit securely on wall bracket even after screwed into bracket. Tilts forward and it is wobbly. We have it securely mounted into the wall. But the unit itself is wobbly.
Went together nicelyLeslieWe put these cabinets up in our basement for extra storage. They went together nicely. Since they are so heavy, it was a good idea to pay the extra charge and have them delivered to the room where they were put together. It takes two strong people to put them up. The shelving is a little tricky to get in place but feels sturdy after all done. We are happy with the result.

So make sure you do that when you buy these. The shelves are not solid wood, but they are sturdy once on the wall. Very happy with my purchase, and the price was the best of all floating shelves I found at this size/length.
No mounting hardwareKristenThis coming with no mounting hardware is bizarre. Be prepared to figure it out yourself and definitely use wall mounts that you'll be sourcing separately.

Great shelf BUT....AnthonyFirst off let me say it is a great floating shelf for the price. It's cheaper than any other competitors out there. Ok, now that I got that out of the way, on to the substance of the review. The floating shelf bracket is not meant for US wall dimensions ( 16 on center ) . The bracket has multiple holes in it, maybe you'll hit 2 in that span but that's about it. Comes with no hardware only 2 screws to secure the shelf to the bracket. It may hold up to 20 pounds, why would you rely on wall anchors? They are the number 1 reason why these shelves fail, don't just screw into drywall. What i did is mark out your stud locations on the bracket and drill new holes then install. Worth the extra step, trust me.
Terrible product.JavierI just finished installing it and it’s already falling apart. It doesn’t come with any screws or wall anchors to install on the wall, you have to get your own. I would recommend buying some brackets or just look elsewhere for a floating shelf.

Solid idea dragged down by subpar bracket designAnthonyWe had no issue with mounting the floating shelf to the wall itself, instructions were clear enough to follow.
Even with hitting 2-3 studs for each shelf, we didn't trust the integrity due to the shelf having some decent wiggle after being secured to the bracket. We unfortunately had to go away from the "floating" aspect and added some decorative wall brackets from our local hardware store to add strength to the wall shelf.

Minimalist shelvesMarcianaI have multiple lack shelves throughout my house. I have books on all of them, plants on some, but I make sure not to overload. My husband installed all of them and didn’t have any issues with installation.

What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
