Strongest of IKEA Woven bin basketsDoloresThese strong woven baskets will a delightful addition in our new Green Kallax shelving unit!5
Beautiful basket, but strong unpleasant smellYeokyeongI bought this basket after seeing the same one at my friend’s house because it looked so beautiful. The design is really lovely and it looks great as a home decor item.
However, the smell is really bad. I understand that rattan naturally has some kind of smell, but this one has a very strange and strong odor to the point that I can’t even keep it in my room. Even with ventilation, the smell doesn’t seem to go away easily.
I’m not sure if only the one I received has this issue or if this product is normally like this, but I wanted to mention it. It’s really pretty, but unfortunately I can’t use it because of the smell.
Please check on this issue.3
Dont buyBrendaThe bottoms dont just slip inside without screwing in small screws on each side and it’s very awkward to do. Returned1
Kallax storage boxesClaireWe store shoes, bags, caps and all sorts of stuff in these in our living room near the front door. They look great.5
BasketTeresaVery attractive storage basket. Looks great in my Kalax bookcase. Awkward to put together.5
Hard to assemble and poor qualityKayelinI bought 4 of these for my playroom to make my playroom/ family room look nicer to store toys. 2 of the 4 baskets had a problem. One of the baskets is lopsided. I noticed in between the basket some part with staples being held together and that’s what’s causing the lopsidedness. Then the last basket I was putting together, is extremely poor quality (not assembled well and can see the particle board under the weave. The hole to put a screw is completely stripped so the screw won’t stay in. Mine did have “pre drilled holes” but they were still really difficult to get in and that last one was completely stripped. I was going to just return 2 of the 4 and exchange for new ones because I do love the way they look, but the bottom of it is not connected at all and when my toddler takes out a basket to play with toys, the bottom completely comes off because it doesn’t secure in place. So I will now be returning all and will need to figure out what I should get instead. 2
Nice looking, sturdyJadeI like the way this looks. Very simple, natural. Wasn’t too hard to assemble, just some small screws to add brackets so it holds shape and to set the bottom inside. You have to be patient putting the screws in, that’s it. Looks very nice in the Kallax shelf5
Difficult to assembleMarianDifficult to assemble in holding down the brackets and tiny screws. The installation is flimsy and the bottom part does not help to secure it. Overpriced. I assumed these were assembled baskets for convenience and quick storage. Not work the hassle.3
difficult to assembleJoanJust thought it would be like the other boxes and you popped the bottom in. Nope... lots of tiny screws that are hard to see.3
Basket KarenLove it, got 45
Nearly 2 years and still smell awful!SarahDon't get me wrong, these are beautiful, sturdy, and fit the Eket cubes nicely. However, I bought these for our nursery a couple months before our baby was born. They are now almost 2 years old and these things STILL STINK! I've tried leaving them out in the sun, spritzing with vinegar, nothing works. They still have a strong chemical smell and make anything stored in them, smell too. 3
Cute if just using for decorationsHollyThese are cute if you are just using them for decor but if you are using them for storage where you will be touching them you may get a splinter. They are super rough and prickly. I wanted these for shelves for my daughters playroom but returned them when i felt how rough they are. 3
The OneGennieI love them. They are strong and great-looking. I liked them so much that I purchased 8 of them again. I had a problem putting them together, but the person who did them for me had no issue at all. They could be a little cheaper.5
Cube organizerEmmaI love the color and it’s sturdy. 5
SturdyHeidiWell made, got on sale, my son uses these5
Basket color don't always matchLindaI purchased these baskets to for a perfect fit in one of the Ikea book shelves. And they DO FIT...but 1 our of the 4 I purchased was complete off color. This doesn't sound like that big of deal except I just paid someone to put the bookshelf and the baskets together and it was costly. Now I have to go to the trouble to replace the basket to match my other 3 and put it together myself which is a little tricky and honestly, I paid someone because I didn't WANT to put it together. So, just be aware that they could ship you different colored baskets. If you are picking up in store make sure the baskets match. I will be returning and getting one that matches my other baskets because it's too obvious to let it go. Otherwise baskets are just fine.4
Beautiful piecesBillijoThese are beautiful baskets! The look lovely, a bit expensive 5
Worst assembly of any IKEA productRobinI’ve assembled thousands of dollars of IKEA furniture and this is by far the worst. The screws don’t want to go in, there are no predrilled holes, the frames themselves are poor quality and uneven. Don’t waste your time with this one. 1
attractive, hold up wellAnonymous reviewerBought 6 months ago and are holding up well being used as drawers in a dresser. Like the felt on the bottom to protect the wood5
Obnoxious assembly, ugly bottomIsaacFor such a simple product, the assembly was FAR too difficult. It gives you small, low-quality screws for the corner braces with no pre-drilled holes. I had to use a super small drill bit just to get any of the screws to go in. After putting in the bottom, there were large gaps between the bottom and the walls, looking completely hideous. Terrible product. Returning1
