Container rustsNicoleI love that I was able to hang my dish drying rack to free up counter space. I bought this so the metal container could hold the utensils/flatware while drying. There are 2 issues though: because it’s so wide with no dividers, most items fall down to the bottom of the container and I’ve been poked by knives fishing things out. Another issue is that there aren’t drainage holes on the bottom so water sits there and eventually rusts. There’s a metal removable bottom so there’s space for the water to go without touching the utensils, but it still becomes a rust soup. Kind of gross. Looking for better options to replace this.3

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free.
