Good to know

Place the food in the baskets, preferably with wax paper or baking paper in the bottom.

Use the bamboo steamer with a wide frying pan or wok that you fill with water. The water must not reach the bottom of the basket.

Choose a pot with a diameter slightly smaller than the steamer.

Includes: 2 baskets (Ø9") and 1 lid (Ø9").

Allow the steamer to air dry before storing it away.

Bamboo is a natural fiber that might change color over time.

There's glue all over make sure to wash it offAnonymous reviewerI was a bit disappointed to find glue on the bamboo steamer. I was excited to use it for the first time and noticed a few spots of glue on the racks. I discovered that there was glue all over the rims as well. It’s difficult to clean in the areas where the bamboo is glued together. I'm also unsure if the glue is food-safe. The glue definitely starts to ooze out when I used warm water to clean it. Pretty concerning , especially when steaming food, the glue might melt into the hot water... no where in the direction says there's glue in the product :/2

Works great, smells badMollyProduct has a glue odor that is still present after multiple steams and soaks and washes. It does change the flavor of what you're cooking. And no, it's not the smell of bamboo. That's an odor I'm familiar with. This is definitely glue or plastic. There are also a few places on my basket where the ties are coming undone because they were cut too short after not being tied tight enough. It would have been better to tie an actual knot or use a longer piece and fold the ends beneath the length of the tie. How much more could one inch of a tie possibly cost? It works for my uses, but for the price I was expecting better quality. It made me feel like it would have been a better decision to go to the local Asian foods market.4
