Care

Wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild dish detergent or soap, if necessary.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Safety and compliance

Max. load is 15 lbs/shelf when properly mounted on the wall. This is the maximum weight the shelf can hold before it begins to bend. Distribute the weight evenly to prevent bending.Different wall materials require different types of fixing devices. Use devices suitable for your walls (sold separately). If unsure, consult your local hardware store.Keep in mind, different wall materials have different weight capacities; for instance, plasterboard walls cannot hold as much as those made of wood, concrete or brick.

Love NikiThis shelf is OUTSTANDING. Beautiful finish, quality feel, not an imperfection to be found. The quality and mid century look rivals some West Elm pieces that I own. It's currently holding 2 yoga blocks, my yoga strap, and a small potted plant. Tip about hanging: there are brackets on the back of the 2 end pieces that hang on screws. My first attempt to hang the shelf, I left the screws out from the wall to match the distance shown in the instructions. When I hung the shelf and put the first yoga block on it, it pulled slightly away from the wall. I took the shelf down and tightened the screws so they were just barely away from the wall, rehung the shelf, and it stayed flush against the wall. So if your shelf is not hanging flush to the wall, try tightening the screws. I would love to see IKEA put out more easy-to-assemble, high quality mid century pieces like this! :)5

"When working on a project with the supplier, we faced a unique challenge involving leftover stock of oak materials. As a former furniture maker, I saw an opportunity to create something innovative from this surplus. The idea for KLAVRESTRÖM wall shelf came while in a taxi, I envisioned merging the pieces halfway, resulting in a harmonious blend of design and functionality. I sketched the idea onto my palm, capturing the essence of creativity in a spontaneous moment."
