relative good piece for the priceStylianosThis is a good piece for the money and easy to put together. I see other reviews saying is not good, expensive and hard to assemble which is not true. But some people can't even hammer a nail so ... Finally, you can do a google search for sideboards like this one build with prime materials and manufacturing and you will see a 4x price tag. So there are plenty of choices out there but realistically speaking this is a good piece for the money and you get what you paid for.
Looks okay but for almost 500$ there’s a few major issues.AlexanderThe wood looks really good on it, I wish a lot of ikea furniture had the option for the darker brown wood color. The hinges for the doors are genius, they allow you to move the doors out/in, up and down, left/right but they are also the main reason this thing is not worth the money or the time, the screws on the hinges are a very soft metal and they are very hard to turn, they strip out easily after a few adjustments no matter how careful you are. If you have OCD I don’t recommend it because the doors and drawers will NOT line up, even after adjustment. You have to adjust one drawer to get flush with the top but then the spacing on the door is out of wack, the adjustment hinge goes up and brings the right side of the door up but the left of the door near center is now hanging low, I fiddled with it forever and couldn’t get it right, might be the pre drilled holes but I think it’s the hinges, the doors hang crooked due to the weight. I do NOT recommend for almost 500$ and your time.
Assembler BewareMary BethI love this buffet! That being said it has taken a lot of time and patience to assemble. The base and drawers were the tricky sections for us. Good Luck!
Think twice if you will use the doors frequently. Regardless, be very careful attaching the hinges to the doors.JamesThis is a nice looking cabinet but the screws used to attach the hinges to the doors can easily strip out in the "wood" the doors are made of. Then, of course, the screws just spin and spin. I used some materials and techniques that people commonly use to address stripped-out wood screws but I shouldn't have to do that on a brand new piece. I will probably keep this but I expect the door/hinge connections will fail sooner or later. Sooner if I open and close the doors a lot.
Love itStaciThis is the perfect cabinet for my record player and extra storage for dishes.
Gallery wall perfectionJodiThese cabinets are great! Put three side by side for a dramatic gallery wall. Only problem: absolutely zero customer support. Had a simple question about the construction process. With a massive store that sells “build it yourself furniture”, I would think there would be a “Create Wizard”.
Terrible *do not buy*AnnmarieLess than a year old the top warped and the doors and drawers do not aligned. it’s a beautiful peace but didn’t even hold up a year… sooo upsetting.
OK for some, not for me.KristineThe hinges were defective and we had to get replacement. Rather hard when it is almost finished being put together. There could be options for more shelves inside. I'm using it for dishes and needed some shorter shelves for platers and cups.
No good quality for theElianaNo good quality for the expensive price
The piece is stylish andWilliamThe piece is stylish and modern with loads of storage. If used as a bar, the top will require glass (or other protectant) to prevent moisture from damaging surface.
Looks nice but has flaws in constructionConnieBeware, the quality of the boards isn't that good - the screw holes that hold the door hinges got loose within 1st week of very light use. Had to use a cabinet hole repair kit to fill the holes, but the holes got loose AGAIN in 2 weeks...very annoying. Now I don't know what to do...one of the doors is kinda hanging low and tilted due to gravity, and will not close properly unless I lift it up a little bit...
Apart from the construction flaw, it is a nice-looking sideboard. Holds tons of stuff. I only wish the screw holes are less of a headache...
Nightmare to put togetherJiIt looks nice, as it does in the pictures however it was so hard to put this together. The alignment would somehow not fit together. The doors ended up not flushing nicely.
Great product and it looksKelvinGreat product and it looks good.
