Perfect for muffinsKarenThese are amazing- and a great price. I use them for muffins that don't have any oil (cottage cheese/oat flour pumpkin muffins. The muffins come out perfect. I put the muffin mold on a cookie sheet for support. I love it.5
Thin & FlimsyGregYou can almost see through this muffin pan it's so thin. It flops all over itself. It would be tough to get it filled with batter and get it in the oven without making a mess. Sure you'd put it on a baking sheet, but you'd really want to put it inside a metal muffin pan like a liner and then why bother. Personally, I would rather have a 6 or 12 muffin pan instead of 8. The muffin molds themselves are also very small. Silicone generates a lot of static electricity so it attracts dust, lint and hair so it's hard to keep clean while using it. Some silicone products have an anti-static coating or texture that helps - this one does not. It was returned.1

It works really well. We made brownies in it and apple cinnamon muffins. Easy to clean and worked really well.

Material

What is silicone rubber?

Silicone rubber is a flexible and durable material that looks like natural rubber and is based on the element silicon. It’s particularly suitable for food-approved cookware and kitchen utensils since it has very good resistance to heat and cold - is also resistant to things like oil. Silicone rubber also has natural non-stick properties that make it excellent to use for baking pans since you avoid needing to grease your pan.
