We recommend a TV bench to be a bit wider than the TV placed on it. This TV bench suits a TV up to 57 inches. You can choose a larger TV if it’s not heavier than the specified max load for the bench’s top.

Broken!SamanthaTook it out of the box and it was all scratched. Oh well we put that side on the bottom. Tried to assemble drawer and door inserts that were recommended with this piece. The hardware immediately stripped and since we couldn’t get it back in the box fully and it was damaged from the drawers we weren’t able to return. 1

First bad IKEA review 😕KarolyneBeen buying Ikea products and building them myself for years and NEVER had any complaints until I purchased this product. I’ve had the Kallax Shelf twice before and wanted to try the Kallax TV unit this time and boy do I regret it. Just while assembling it got scratch in a bunch of places. I wasn’t rough or anything. Never had this experience with any of the ikea desks, shelf’s, etc. The paint for this one is horrible. Not only that but the TV unit comes with big orange and black warning stickers in the middle second shelf that are obvious so I tried to gently remove them and it took the paint off! My goodness, this does NOT compare to the original Kallax Shelf! For the same price you can get the original Kallax which is bigger and better qualit so definitely go for that one.1
