Quick cinnamon roll fix but…HannahThe cinnamon flavor was too strong and overwhelming. I made frosting to go with it and even drizzled some chocolate syrup, but the cinnamon taste was still too much, unfortunately. 2
Skip themJessicaThese are not good. 1
Staple buy MichelleThis is a must have purchase and staple anytime we go. I but 2-4 bags. Everyone in the house loves these. One of my kids 😍 favorites!5
Good, but instructions are wrong StanleyI like the taste of the buns, but they took way longer to bake than the instructions said they would. 4
Weird texture KellThey baked perfectly and smelled super delicious however the texting the cinnamon swirl part was gelatinous and off putting. Surat crystals on top and the overall dough taste was very good. 2
I should have known not buy discount IKEA foodKateI should have known something was up when these were on sale. But instead, I grabbed a couple packages and brought them home. Only to find out that they had melted and then refrozen at some point so they didn’t look great and they didn’t rise very well. The flavor was still OK, but the consistency and appearance were poor.
Sadly, my closest IKEA store is almost an hour away. So I will just accept the loss rather than return the items.2
KafferepBrendaGiving 2 stars because they are easy to make and my kid thought they were fine. I thought they were horrible. They tasted of cinnamon flavoring not actual cinnamon and were simply off putting to me. They do not taste like the in store cinnamon rolls that used to be offered. As with most IKEA food products they are full of Palm oil or Rapeseed, so I will not buy again. 2
TastyCatlinVery tasty. Instructions may be written for a convection oven though, as it took twice as long in my traditional oven.4
Tasted good, did not riseAnneThey tastes good (no weird metallic aftertaste, like a lot of bake at home rolls) but did not rise and were very dense.4
Disappointed ElenaTaste like paper 1
No for meLeonorI got them for the first time and nobody in my family liked them1
Baking instructions are badMeganThere is no universe in which these bake for 14 minutes and come out fully cooked. Next time I'd try taking them out the night before and letting them proof at room temperature overnight. Then maybe they'd bake in 14 mins. We baked them from frozen for ~40 mins and they were still underbaked in the middle. Fix the instructions please!2
Good cinnamon rolls - but baking instructions need to be adjustedKatherineI like these cinnamon buns and have bought multiple times. I find that I need to reduce the temp at which they are baked so the outside doesn't burn before the inside gets cooked, so I think the instructions aren't correct. I like that they are not glazed like typical American cinnamon rolls, but I do wish it had more pearl sugar like most Swedish cinnamon buns have. Though I guess you can always buy some pearl sugar at amazon.com and sprinkle on some more. But aside from these two issues, I really enjoy these. 4
The package lies to you. AlexiBake glazed side up in a preheated oven at 350F for 19-20 minutes. The edges and bottom will appear golden, but the centre spiral will appear pale. I loved them. Soft, gooey center with a generous amount of cinnamon filling. No, the package doesn’t contain pearl sugar as it demonstrates, but the buns are sugar glazed (look for the shiny, sticky side). If you want a bit more sweetness, finish them with a simple sugar icing (1 cup [113g] sifted powdered sugar, ¼ tsp vanilla, 1 tbsp milk or orange juice). Cream cheese icing may be delicious, too. 5
Tasty quick to prepare.Wayne Different from the ones made in the IKEA market.5
Great flavorRubyThe center rose up during baking, so it was easy to eat from the center like a spiral. My daughter said it tasted doughy, probably I baked it in a toaster oven & maybe needed few more minutes but I loved it. I'm not into frosting so this was perfect. Good amount of cinnamon.5
tastyj and deliciousRenitanice for snacks5
Perfect for Christmas morning KendraEasy & delicious. Reminded me of the Swedish baked good my grandma used to serve at Christmas. 5
Not even close AnonymousI thought these would be like the ones in the store. They were not even close. They were not tasty just a waste of my money.1
TastyIwonaThese cinnamon are easy too make, not to huge, and taste great, especially if you leave out the icing.4
