Inexpensive bookshelvesPaigeWe have several of the Ivar bookshelves. They are easy to assemble, and sturdy. The one thing I wish was different with the design is the placement of the holes for the pegs - with the current placement, it requires you to use the IKEA Ivar shelves, cut a notch out of your own board, or have your own board not be the full width of the shelving unit like the IKEA shelves. I understand IKEA wants to sell their product, but this limits the width of the shelving unit. It's not a big issue at all, but just something to consider if you're wanting to customize the unit.4
Assembly contradictionsSueThe product images on the web page show the cross brace installed at the bottom of the unit while the instructions and the assembly instructions enclosed and the assembly & documents online show it to be placed in the middle of the unit.4
