Light weight blanketKatiePerfect for summer nights or layering in cooler months
Great to use as an oversized, lightweight blanketDianeIt's quite difficult to find an all-cotton blanket that is wide enough to tuck underneath the mattress. When I saw the gray-green Indira bedspread, it looked like I could maybe use it as a blanket so that's why I bought it. It's on our bed right now and it works great.
We live where it's pretty hot in summer, so it being lightweight also makes this topnotch. But the best thing about it is that the weave is tight; so many cotton blankets sold nowadays are the "waffle" type which have a weave so loose that a cat would make yarn out of them in short time.
One thing to note is that Ikea product page and tag instructions clearly say do not dry this bedspread. Because we weren't as concerned about shrinkage as others would be, we did dry the bedspread. I don't know if it shrunk more than the % that Ikea claims as maximum, but the bedspread held up to the dryer just fine and we did put it on our bed the first night and it covered both sides with room to spare.
Nice FabricKerriLove the fact it's 100% cotton and unbleached. It was just too big for our bed for some reason but a perfect blanket for the hot summer.
Good quality fabric with an unique colorDebaishIt’s a nice cotton bedspread with unique color. It has a rough surface unlike the the polyester mix bedspreads available in the market. The rough texture provides a different feel to the body.
Very niceAhmedGreat material and very soft texture
Beautiful and great qualityKatherineLovely color and great quality. Perfect bedspread for warmer seasons
Very rough feelingCorinneEven sfter washing and adding vinigar it is still super rough and kind scratchy. The color is nice. Same as pic.
Great Lightweight Summer SpreadCourtneyBought these for a beach house for the summer. Nice organic look and perfect weight for summer nights
Not opaqueAlysI got this to use with a patterned duvet underneath and it very much showed through. Not ideal for my scenario, but would be ok if you have white bedding I think.
Great coverKirstenNot too heavy and keeps me col in the hot weather.
I like them - Color is great - Not too soft thoughAI really do like these blankets. I ordered gray-green queen/king size. I ALWAYS wash EVERYTHING that is brand new. Even after using a splash of vinegar (softens and keeps color from fading), blankets are still rough. I believe it is because of the design. I believe these blankets will soften eventually with each wash.
Nice for summerErikIt’s a good thickness for the summer so I like it. But it is very scratchy after one wash. It will probably soften up as I keep washing it I’m hoping
wondefulCarmenGreat blanket for hot days.
Not the same great product as it once wasMagdaleneI have quite a few of these in White and in a petrol blue color, and they have worn very well. The current blanket is nothing in comparison. It is not the same quality at all and it is much thinner. The current colors. are really unattractive so I can't think of anywhere I'd use them even if they were as good as the old product. Why get rid of a good thing? It was simple and it was Cotton. It was sized right and the colors were great, but not so anymore. There's another blanket that I bought that has a basket weave design. I own a few of them in White and it in its latest iterations is much thinner and within a few months, it had a big hole in it. It is unfortunate that one can't trust a good thing that IKEA to always be a good thing.
Great!QuirinaI love the color and material.
cotton cotton cotton, love itChristineIt is hard to find something no made our of polyester, and so happy, that this is a great color and comfortable.
Not sized rightJillThis is no way a full blanket,,,the sides are too short. If you turn it around, it doesn't come up to the pillow. So maybe a throw at best. I swear this said full/queen when I ordered it, now it reads twin/full. They are not interchangeable!
IndiraDianeExactly what I have been looking for. Very cozy.
Lightweight and lovelyJuliaPerfect summer finish for my bed. And a great price. Love that it’s washable and simple. Goes well with my decor.
Thick cotton, easy care machine washable/dryerCarmenGot this in blue, and now green. Great quality even after going through washing machine & dryer. Just be careful about sleeping with your face on bedspread because you end up with pattern imprinted on cheek!
