great little table...but...Janis F.The table itself is great. It's sturdy and looks great. It's awesome that it takes up little space when the leaves are down, BUT, the leaves don't go down with the Ogden chairs. Be aware and careful of your chair height if you want to be able to put down the leaves when not seating 4. This is also def. too small to seat 6 comfortably.4
Great productHARSHITPerfect product for small space, height is perfect for kids5

Pretty table, easy to put togetherliiiiisaI've owned a number of things from Ikea over the years and this was by far the easiest to put together, and looks lovely. Clean and simple lines, perfect for smaller spaces.5
Love this tableVerified BuyerThis is a great table, and so beautiful. It's the perfect size for my kitchen and with the two folding leaves it can be expanded when necessary. And did I mention it's beautiful?5
Nono11Great value for money. I would buy again5
Love itMidventutyBought this a few weeks ago. Looks great in my breakfast room.4
Great for small apartmentsAAB13I bought this table to fit a small nook in our apartment and it fits perfectly with 2 chairs on either side when the leaves are down. We also have the flexibility of raising the leaves when we have more people over. When we were assembling it, the table ended up a little wobbly which is disappointing for something new but nothing we couldn't get over.4
Love itsanfrnfanThe table looks great in the living dining area. We needed a table for a small space and this is perfect. It was easy to put together, it took one person about 15 mins to put together.5
Compact tableLash73Great little table. It fits just right in our eat in kitchen.5
Metal Dust ParticlesrainwaterroseI just assembled this table, and while it's a great design and very nice looking, all of the metal pieces were flaking little shards and particles of metal everywhere, which seems like a health hazard. My hands were coated in silver just a few minutes into the job, and miniscule metal particles were all over the table. It also has a formaldehyde smell, probably from the glue for the bamboo. The look and functionality of the table is otherwise perfect. So if metal powder and formaldehyde don't bother you, it might be a good choice.1
Perfect for small spacesNerdyRedHeadI love this table so much. Just the right size for my small LA apartment. very easy to put together myself.5
Love it! Seats 4 comfortablya2jeanBesides being cute as a button, it is a solid piece of furniture, just right for my small condo. With the leaves up, it seats 4 comfortably, leaves down, it seats 2 with plenty of space. I was considering a bar/bistro table for 2 because I rarely cook or entertain, but our knees would have been touching. I was able to put this table together by myself in a little more than an hour.5
I love this table!DianyWe use it as our breakfast table and it looks very cute.5
Versatile and pleasing to the eyescsd777We bought this to go in our small kitchen and liked that we can adjust the size of the table top without having to move the legs of the table. It fits perfectly in the corner of our kitchen and the top of the table is easy to clean and take care of. When the drop-leaf sections are down, it is difficult to sit on that side of the table, but we usually have one drop-leaf section up and the other side is against the wall.5
Just a GREAT table!!!SoozCI purchased this drop-leaf table for my dad’s assisted living kitchen. It’s absolutely perfect! Beautiful, solid, well-made & versatile. It can go from neat and compact to a dinner table for guests in a snap! We love the drop-leaves on BOTH sides! We can use either one, both together or none! High quality, beautiful design, easy to clean-and the value can’t be beat!!! If you’re tight on space, this table is for you!!!5
Perfect small table!Ukulele lady 33Our new retirement villa only had a small space for a table and chairs and this table was the perfect fit. The bamboo top looks good and is easy to clean. When guests drop by, we can easily raise one or both leaves and make room to seat them.5

Enjoy the warmth and beauty of renewable bamboo

With fold-down leaves, our IKEA PS 2012 table is made from fast-growing, long-lasting bamboo with removable aluminum legs. It is designed to be separable, making it easier for recycling (if available in your community).

Material

What is bamboo?

Strong, flexible and one of the world's fastest growing plants – bamboo has many uses that make it an excellent renewable material. It’s a type of grass and usually grows without the need for fertilizers or irrigation. After being harvested, it grows new shoots that are ready for harvesting after 4-6 years. At IKEA, we use bamboo for items like furniture, bathroom decor, baskets and lamps – and we are constantly exploring more areas of use for this versatile material.

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

"Functional furniture in hardwood, like teak, was modern in the 1950s. I wanted to find a design that was related to the style of the '50s, but use materials that are much better for the environment. Bamboo is a material that grows quickly, and when it's layer-glued it becomes extremely hard and durable. Plus, it resembles teak. IKEA PS 2012 dining table is a table that flirts with '50s design, but is produced with concern for the future."
