Function meets feng shui. Beautiful, compact: saved my marriage and my floor space.Jennifer NathreenWe actually ditched dresser drawers 15 years ago because they take up too much space and you can never see what's inside them. My husband still needed a way to see his clothes, but we worried this unit would be too imposing right next to his side of the bed. Thankfully, at just under 4 feet tall with that open-air hanger side, this piece doesn't feel boxed in at all and keeps our small bedroom feeling open.
It looks gorgeous and pulls our room together, matching the bamboo tones of our Japanese tatami platform bed perfectly. Most importantly, it successfully contains all the house shorts and workout clothes that used to live on the floor.
To top it all off, assembly took him about an hour, which is basically lightspeed for IKEA furniture. In summary: the floor is clean, looks expensive, and keeps the peace.5
Love my purchaseKristinaBought this for my son’s room. Worked out great, it’s a perfect height where he is able to grab his own clothes without a problem. For the price, it’s good and does the job. Would recommend5
Sturdy, well-designed product GrayUnit is very well made, fairly easy to assemble, and feels sturdy when I am moving it. Overall makes a great addition to my furniture. 5
Sturdy and attractive ValishaI went back and forth between this wardrobe and the taller version, as they are only $50 difference in price but the reason I landed on this one was due to my space limits. Now that it is assembled and in use, I really wish there as a size in between the two of them in terms of height, because I’m limited in what items I can hang on the rack without reaching the bottom. Nonetheless it looks good and serves my purpose.
I put it together by myself and I appreciated all the screws and dowels being the same. It is probably one of the easiest items I’ve ever put together for that very reason. If you’re putting this together by yourself it’s best to have a hardback book or something an inch or two thick to use to prop up the item when you’re lining up the holes when the item is on its side. 4
Unique bamboo look, challenging assemblyMarcThe unique bamboo and Asian-esque look of this wardrobe is very different from other Ikea pieces and a welcome design direction. The bamboo veneer is done very well.
The assembly is quite challenging, however. It should include a larger allen key, especially for step 20 when you are forced to exert considerable force on the very short side of the key . It's a 3mm size should you want to get a larger one yourself, perhaps one with a handle.
There are a few suggestions for improving the instructions. The instructions could be clearer differentiating some very similar looking pairs of pieces, esp on step 2. Step 11 might recommend temporarily taping the pieces together as they are only held by wood pegs, not screws. And the drawing of the drilled holes in the bottom board is incorrect which makes the drawing for step 19 incorrect.
It would be great to see more similarly themed pieces in the future.4

Beautiful, clean design for my laundry room!Anonymous reviewerI bought this a month ago and it was exactly what my laundry room needed for a facelift! I was looking for a piece where I could hang my nicer shirts/pants to air dry in the laundry room while also hiding my laundry detergent and providing storage space for my extra linens. I am super happy with this product!5
