The Worst Wok I ever bought!BingVery Disappointing—Everything Sticks This wok is extremely difficult to use. Even though it is advertised as having a non-stick coating, almost everything sticks to the surface, even when I use enough oil. Food burns onto the wok, and it is very difficult to clean afterward. I expected much better quality from IKEA. I would not recommend this wok.1
The worst Wok everSwikritiI don’t generally write reviews, but I felt it’s my responsibility to warn and make other consumers aware of such cheap products..This wok is cheaply made. It produces a large amount of smoke when heated and gives off a strong burnt-metal smell.It left big stain in one side just in 1st cook and I was not frying anything .. such cheaply made products. I specifically drove to ikea just to buy wok.. but this wok is total disaster.For the sake of your health, do not buy this wok.. my drive cost to ikea and purchased money was just waste .1

Worst cookware I’ve ever hadTimI purchased this and a ceramic skillet. Both are the worst cookware I’ve ever owned. This product can’t handle medium-low heat without the finish being burned, and losing the non-stick functionality. They are about a year old and are only used sparingly, what good is cookware that only performs on low flame? I do not recommend.1

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colors, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
