Only delivery is big problem if you order these glass containers online - ours were delivered damaged and broken, but when making a complaint to IKEA, they sent us new ones as replacement. I would prefer to buy these containers directly from the store instead of buying online.

Label packaging MichaelWhile I have no complaints about the actual product, the packaging is a major drawback. The labels are aggressively adhered to the glass, and the standard warm water removal method is ineffective. Instead, the packaging results in a frustrating mess of paper scraps that are even harder to remove, leaving the containers looking damaged.

IKEA 365+ food storage products make it easier to store, save and bring food with you on the go. To get to know more about peoples’ needs, we visited families in several countries. We found out that it’s all about versatility and simplicity.
You've just put leftovers after eating into a food container, but can't find a lid that fits. Or maybe you've put a food container in the fridge with food in it, but you can't see what's inside the food container and completely forget about the food. These were things we heard time and time again when interviewing families about their experiences. “We wanted to develop products to make this easier,” says David Granath, a product developer who has worked with the project. “They should be simple and flexible. And easy to combine and use in ways that suit every household.”
No extra work
Smart and super simple
The IKEA 365+ food containers and lids can be combined and also come in different materials and sizes. They are super simple – and that's the point. “We've put a lot of work into them, for example by seeing to it that all the different parts fit together. But the product itself is simple in a smart way.” We can't solve the entire food waste problem – but we can make it possible for everyone to be part of the solution.
Material
What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
