Nice sturdy cabinetKenIt's more expensive than most of the other IKEA shelve units but it's also higher quality. Sliding glass doors were a requirement for me due to space constraints. The shelves are 4" deeper than a Billy bookcase making them useful for other items like TJOG boxes and small famed photos. Assembly was straightforward even with the complication of not having sufficient floor space to lay the cabinet flat on its back. Definitely use a blanket under it if the floor is hardwood. I did not have to make any adjustments to the fit of the sliding doors.
Great cabinets for my craft room. JudyRelatively easy to assemble. Due to the size, it’s helpful to have another person. Very solid piece. Bought 2 file cabinets in the yellow color to work with grey cabinets. Love it!
Thin Metal, Questionable Connectors, Looks NiceSamNegatives: The metal is thin. I cannot get the doors to slide smoothly even after adjusting the screws around the wheels. It looks nice though it's held together with plastic "push pins" and thin metal tabs that you must bend down with a screwdriver to make a connection with the adjoining piece -- that's how the top piece connects and its not tight at all, sliding back and forth with a nudge. I was hoping for something more robust. Manual's step 13 is two pages of instruction for a part that is not included with the cabinet and there's no indication that is the case. Positives: Sharp design. Easy Assembly.
