Absolutely horrible!TeresaThis is by far my worse Ikea buy! From start to barely finished it was a challenge! The holes didn't line up, the screws kept stripping out, the shelves would fall over on step one and it was difficult to get to the holes has my hand kept hitting the floor. I had to take TWO days to get this together, some screws still NOT all the way in as they stripped out! I have put together well over 100 pieces of self assemble furnature but this was the worse! I don't dare use it for what I bought it for as it is just too flimsy! I will put it in a closet for clothing or shoes, not use as intended in the kitchen for those rarely used appliances that I have. 1
Four shelf itemMarsdenI found this item adequate. Not really decorative. Made from galvanized metal. It is light weight and should be attached to a wall for saftey. The assembly will be difficult for some. The directions showed it being assembled on the floor. I did it on my dining room table. Much easier. Better to have a helper to start assembly. The screws are not exactly a Philips head style. It's more on a square size. Not all people will have this size. 4
Great shelves for the price and aesthetic SamuelThere are a lot of reviews saying that its either hard to put together or the holes for the screws dont line up. First of all, a power drill will be your best friend for this and will make the set up 80% easier. When building out the shelf, dont tighten the screws all the way. I recommend tightening the screws all the way once all the screws are accounted for. If one of the holes are not aligning, either try loosening a screw or tightening a screw that is near the hole thats not aligning. You can loosen and then lean on the part thats not aligning or tighten the screw so that the hole comes closer to the other hole. It is hard to explain, but there will be trial and error. If the hole is half way aligned, dont worry the power drill will get that screw in. Dont be afraid to finesse or use some muscle for this thing. I purchased 4 shelves, the first one took the longest but after that it was a breeze. Like i said before, a power drill will make it way easier and will save you time.4
Good for the price, read more for detailsSamuelI am seeing a lot of reviews of people having trouble building these shelves. I have purchased 4 of these things. To be honest the first one did give me trouble but after the first the last 3 was a breeze. I will give you some tips. Using a Power drill will make these 80% easier. Follow the directions, follow where they want you to screw first. The biggest tip is do not tighten down the screws until all screws are in their holes. Screw them in half way then go to the next hole and do the same. If you see a hole not aligning, you need to lean on the legs to push down the holes to align to the shelf, slightly bend the legs so that the holes align and use the power drill to drill the screw in. Lastly, Once you get all the screws half way in their holes, tighten them all down, this will make the shelves rigid. The top 8 holes on the top first shelf can be screwed in all the way. The power drill will be your best friend, it will be way too hard with a screw driver4
Love theseMinnieAs advertised. Very handy and super light weight. Somewhat PIA to assemble if I’m completely honest. In some cases, the pre-drilled holes did not line up perfect BUT, has been performing like a champion. I have used these in my closets to store jarred herbs and miscellaneous extras that don’t have a home.
You can’t beat the price of these, I would certainly purchase again!4
Good showing unit for a little extra spaceNadineWe bought one of these for a closet storage area to hold back stock. Very helpful and easy to put together5
Out door shelves ChristinaI have my plants on it and off the ground. Exactly what I was looking for 5
Assembly takes a little finesse, but love these!CambriaI purchased four of these shelves to make a diy storage room to organize my apartment. These shelves are great and holding very heavy boxes without issue (unclear on people saying they are bendy -- mine have been as sturdy as expected for price and material thickness). However, the assembly did take a few different go-arounds until I got the technique down. The screw holes *do* line up, but it's expected you kind of have to push on the metal a bit for them to line up, which creates an extra tight tension that makes them very sturdy. I suspect some people gave up before getting to this point, but once you get it, it's rather easy. Try a different screwdriver, too. My first one stripped one of the screws, but after changing it's very easy. Take breaks if you're not patient, but it is reasonably doable as a solo person.5
Plant perfect!!!JayDo not be intimidated by some of these poor reviews! As with ALL furniture, you have to follow the directions and have patience. Took me 3h (with multiple breaks because it was hotter than a sinner in church) to put together 6 (4Small, 2Tall) units. Make sure you are fully tightening the screws, but do not over tighten or you’ll warp the steel. They were slightly smaller than I expected, but these units are perfect for my plants. I will definitely be ordering more!5
Sturdy, looks good, but needs something ChrisThe shelf unit assembled easily and is sturdy and looks good.
One suggestion to 'finish' the top corners which don't look good and may pose a 'snag' hazard from the exposed curved out edges.
Look at my picture .. oh can't attach pictures. Oh well, I hope you get the point

Look at instructions RoccoI see people complaining about assembly. It is rather easier than they make it. Screw the short ends first. What would be the shorter sides. This will align the holes up on the longer sides. Then screw them in. It is that simple. 5
Listen to reviews😭OliviaThis is impossible to put together, instructions are simple but it does not work!1
great product for a great priceSinaBought this for my balcony to store some tools. Don't be discouraged by the negative reviews. Although a little bit of effort needed to put together, but if you follow directions properly you will have no problem putting it together and works perfectly fine. 5
Do NOT fall for TikTok influencersMeiTLDR; don’t buy- impossible to put together. If you do get them together they’re wobbly and unstable.
I bought these shelves based off of multiple TikTok interior decorating influencers. They were horrible to put together. I’ve been putting together ikea furniture for 10+ years and this was so difficult. It took two of us and the holes still did not line up correctly. In the end, it was so wobbly and shaky I did not trust putting any items on them. I wound up getting kitchen grade work prep stations from another company that gave me the industrial aesthetic I was looking for. 1
Flimsy & bendableChristinaI was so disappointed in this item. It is flimsy and bends left to right easily. It was difficult to put together because the holes didn't line up. I guess at the $20 price point it is to be expected. 2
Perfect for my patio!JilleneI’ve gotten several compliments from friends on how beautifully everything from plants to garden implements to bags of sand and soil are organized by these shelves on my apartment patio. It was definitely hard to put together, but I’m a 66yo woman with both patience and persistence, and I got 31 of 32 screws in nice and tight, so I’m counting it a success. It’s quite stable.5
Absolute garbageKimberlyThis is impossible to assemble. Screws don’t line up with the holes and are impossible to tighten without stripping the head of the screw. I threw it out. Not what I have come to expect from Ikea. I expected it to be flimsy, but I didn’t expect this.1
Addressing issues with assemblyBrianFor anyone struggling with assembly—use an electric drill!
While it might be possible to muscle through with a hammer and screwdriver, using a drill will save you a lot of time and effort. Once assembled, these things are absolutely amazing!5
Horrible Experience to AssembleBrentPlain and simple: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. So many reviews here note the same thing - I cannot put it together. I bought three of these - will be returning two, and throwing away the third. IKEA MUST know this product is a disaster, but they keep selling it. 1
Impossible to assembleFedericaI agree with all the previous reviews. This is impossible to assemble and I will sadly have to return it.1
