There was a knife rack on display, and when I went to look for that one, not only was it much smaller, it was also black rather than stainless steel. Display vs what's available is not always the easiest at IKEA. Shopping at IKEA is a skill. This product looks good and functions, but I was needing a larger size with a stronger magnet. I have one in my kitchen for my knives, and used this one in my workshop for small odds and ends.3

MehAlisonThis rack is ok if you only intend to hang it horizontally and your knives are well balanced. Unlike some racks, this one only has a magnet down the center line, so knives easily rotate on it. You cannot hang it vertically and attach the knives so they are displayed horizontally, they just twist so the handles swing downward.3
