Product details

5 year limited warranty. Read about the terms in the limited warranty brochure.

Induction cooktops are extremely energy efficient, fast, and precise as induction technology transfers energy directly into magnetic cookware.

Auto-size detection in each zone automatically senses the size of your pan to only send heat to whatever small, medium or large pan you are using.

The power booster feature (P) delivers additional power to a single cooking zone. This kind of rapid intense heat is ideal for boiling water, stir frying food or searing meat.

The lock function deactivates most of the controls on the cooktop to keep cooking zones from being changed by accident or to keep children from activating the cooktop.

The touch and slide control panel allows you to regulate the heat easily and precisely by sliding your finger across the temperature scale or touching the desired temperature on the display.

A heat indicator shows when the cooking zone has cooled so that you are not in danger of burning yourself.

Easy-clean as the induction surface generates heat only to your pan, not your cooktop. This means spills won’t burn onto the surface as easily.

If you are uncertain about whether your cook- and fryware is safe to use on an induction cooktop, check with a magnet to see if the base is made of a magnetic material, which is a must.

The cooktop may produce low humming, whistling or ticking sounds. These sounds are caused by the induction technology and they are completely normal.

Controls are timers? CeceliaI had no idea that in order to turn on the burners, you have to give it a time. I don’t want have to consider that, it’s not a thought process that will be easy to put in my 35+ years of cooking automatic motions. I just want to be able to manually turn on and off like a regular stove. 2
A Watched Pot Never Boils …. WrongTimothyA Watched Pot Never Boils …. Wrong not with this induction cooktop!! We were unsure about getting this cooktop based off of some reviews that said it was warped. We decided to take the chance based off of return policy, warranty and price. After several months of use this has been a great purchase. It makes cooking so much quicker with instant heat and control. We did have to get new pots but well worth the money. Good quality. Whole family loves cooking on it. Definitely consider if you are looking for an induction cooktop.5
Pretty good given how much it costsKevinI read other reviews regarding warped glasstop but decided to give it a try because it is much cheaper than other brands. Fortunately the one I received was perfectly flat! However, I don't like how the power level can only be controlled by the sliding bars. Separated +/- buttons would be much easier to use.4
Warped glassMichaelI read the reviews about warped glass with some doubt, could never imagine this even being possible. Sure enough, the unit I picked up was warped. The second one is also warped, a bit less. However, this was the only unit which perfectly fit into the existing opening, was immediately available in stock on Sunday, and I hope to sell this house in a few months, so I decided to keep it. So, with the front being flat with the counter, the right back corner is flying in the air by about 1/4 in. Will put in some black silicone and survive. However, the fact that after all these reviews and returns Ikea has done nothing and continued selling these propellers is disturbing at best2
First 2 Have had warped TopMatthewWe got this induction top to replace our old coil electric. Love how quick it is. However, the first one was warped; lived with it for 2 months before I was back in Memphis with an Ikea. I live 3 hours away and their delivery options were horrible. Just got the new one installed after swapping the original, just to have the exact same issue of warped glass. I would avoid this until they get their quality issues figured out. Other than the glass being warped, we generally like the cooktop. The layout isn't ideal having the primary in the middle, but it's serviceable. It does smudge easily as well. Overall Very frustrated right now and regret purchasing this outside of their footprint as it's a real PITA to get these exchanged. I have no confidence that the next will be any better.2
So far so good. AndyI left a previous review to the effect that my cooktop was warped. I decided to give it one more try and exchanged it again. Third time was the charm. This one was nice and flat, so I thought it fair to leave an updated review. It installed quickly, and we really like it. So far we are very pleased with it. It cooks faster than we thought, and is quieter than we thought. One person left a review here saying it doesn't simmer, but I just got home from work to find something simmering quite nicely. I gave it four stars for reliability only because I haven't had it long enough to give it five. Hope this helps!5
Glass top is not flat.AndyThe glass top is not flat. It's more like a potato chip. When I placed it in the cutout, I noticed that it was resting primarily on the bottom left and top right corners, with the bottom right and top left corners not touching the countertop. You would have to shim it to prevent it from rocking. I independently checked the countertop and verified that it was all in a plane. Then I checked the cooktop by itself using two long straightedges, and it became clear that the cooktop was twisted. I exchanged it for another one, and it was exactly the same, if not slightly worse. I was thinking of using some RTV under the raised corners to stabilize it, but a google search indicated that this is not generally recommended. So I'll likely return the 2nd one as well and pay a bit more for a name brand.1
Easy Install, Great CooktopAustinOnly had it for a day, so take this review with a grain of salt. ~1 hour install including wiring in the new cooktop. Wire and conduit was a little long, but easy to manage. Cooktop works and looks great up to this point.5
