Huge Flaw on Otherwise Nice TV StandBrettThis TV stand has an enormous flaw: there is insufficient support in the center. We placed a TV on it that weighs 87 to 88 pounds, which is just under the weight limit of 90 pounds. After only a couple of days, the stand has already started to bow in the middle. To have a legs on a TV stand that are about 70" apart, without any legs in the center for support, is just a terrible idea. We have a lot of HEMNES furniture and we love most of it, but I don't know what IKEA was thinking on this one. With that said, the TV stand looks nice and is a good price for something that is solid wood. Because there are things that we like about the stand, and also because returning it would be a giant hassle, we decided to keep the stand and try adding some furniture support legs in the center. Hopefully that works—I guess we'll see! Overall, I could not recommend this TV stand unless you either do not plan on putting much weight on it or you add something under the center for support.
Defects and misalignment AnnaWe tried assembling it ourselves and noticed scratches on the top, which someone had tried to cover up with paint. We also couldn’t properly install the shelves and cabinet inside because they didn’t fit. Now it just sits there looking messy while we decide what to do with it
good valueNormanI was looking at low profile tables appropriate for a new 85 inch TV. While there are many options available, I had a few must have requirements that I was not willing to compromise. As I was not placing the TV on a wall, the stand needed to be at a hight appropriate for viewing. Obvioulsy it also need to be of sufficient width for the TV. An most importantly, the depth of the top had to be enough for the TV stand legs to be completely supported. Most of what i saw only had a top depth of 12-15 inches. This piece has a top depth of 18 inches, which is a perfect fir for the TV's legs. Although I have a complete woodworking shop and could have modified other pieces, I was not ready to buy something only to have to modify it before I could use it. And since this piece is solid wood, I was certain it would easily hold the weight of the TV. Assembly was, as usual with this brand, straighforward and I finished the entire assembly in about 60 minutes. Good value, pleasing looks, perfect.

NO WARRANTY and only lasted 6 monthsTinaI was initially very happy with this product as far as aesthetics and quality, and I had no issues with assembly. Several months after purchase, I noticed a crack in the middle of the top panel/surface. The crack didn't seem to go all the way through the panel but is quite noticeable. A few months later, I noticed a large crack on the side panel of the unit, this one goes all the way through the wood. I have not bumped into this TV unit in any way that would cause this damage, and I don't store heavy items on or in the unit, just a TV on top and some random household items in the drawers. When I reached out to Ikea customer service, I was informed that this product is NOT covered by any warranty whatsoever, so they are unable to assist me with the damage to this unit. I feel like the quality of is just not there, and don't recommend it to others
