Missing screwsLarisaDid anyone else experience receiving half packs of screws within the hejne shelves? It says there are supposed to be 16 screws a bit all of my pairs of shelves on came with 8. Any ideas how I can get the missing screws?
A must for organizationClaudiaI love this product! This is my second unit. It will go in my basement. My first one is in my garage!
Great Space Saver!GeorginaSlick and easy to assemble. Looks great when it's put together.
Ikea keeps cheapening its storage systemsAnonymous reviewerWe have a lot of IVAR and other storage systems. IVAR is ok for the house, because of my work, we have lots and lots of heavy photo books. And it makes a great, easily configurable audio rack. It does look a bit college dormy, but it's easy to move, withstands abuse better then BILLY for example, and is very easy to put up and take down. But, for the garage, we used IKEA's lower priced, but strong shelving units. We also used them in our basement to hold books, art, etc. We found the STEN shelves very good, but IKEA can't seem to leave a good product alone, and each new version is lower quality, poorly made, and can't handle loads without the shelves bending. The HEJNE is the worst of the batch. Thinner wood, shorter shelves, and just kind of lousy. And the price is the same as the STEN and other heavier duty shelves. So, we needed to add 3 more units, and ended up sticking with IVAR. It was about 40% more expensive, but the solid pine shelves (with metal edges, not the cheap nylon they used a year ago) are almost indestructible, they hold up to very heavy loads, and with the accessories like the desk with keyboard, you can make a wonderful computer desk, with the ability to use the space above for more shelves, So, before you buy the HEJNE, take another look at the IVAR system. Much stronger, and far for more flexible.
