Hafsta cabinet with baseJEFFWell constructed and easy to assemble.5
We bought 2 units andDawnWe bought 2 units and they were exactly what we were looking for. The size fit perfectly into our small sitting room space and gave the room a very comfortable, practical feel.5
Pretty decent cabinetPETERIt was fairly easy to put together until you get to the doors. It took almost as long getting the doors on right as is did putting the entire piece together. Take your time with the doors (even getting the little screws to catch to the main cabinet was a bit difficult). The adjusting of the doors takes a little bit of time, but once you’ve turned them properly, the doors should fit and close perfectly.5
Bottom half of 3 sets.JACQUELINEI ordered 3 sets too and bottom for a full wall cabinet. Complete review already submitted.5
Great line of storage products.DanaGreat line of storage products.5
Extra storageJacquelynVery easy to put together abs so much sturdier that I expected! Only downfall was the doors, I couldn't get the hang of hanging the hinges! My son rescued me there! Definitely would recommend for extra storage.4

Beautiful design. Solid wood. HighWendyBeautiful design. Solid wood. High quality5
Disappointing finish qualityHavenI bought 4 white bases and 4 white upper units in the havsta line to use as storage in my sewing room. So far I've only put 1 together and there have been numerous issues with that piece-- For starters- The white paint is disappointing. It's more of a white wash than paint and so it barely coats the wood. The wood is real and so the thin paint makes wood grain and knots holes visible. There was also a blemish on the top front corner- it's like the wood splintered while they were routing the edge in manufacturing. It was poorly painted over so it really stands out. I'm going to be contacting customer service to see if they can send me some touch up paint so I can try to camouflage it better. The doors suck- one went on really easily and is nice and centered, and hangs level. The other is very crooked to the point it rubs the frame and the other door. I've adjusted it based on their directions, and that has mostly stopped the rubbing, but it still hangs crooked. I hope the other cabinets will be better than this one was. I was expecting something much quality for the price.2
BeautifulDaynaThis was absolutely beautiful but I will tell you that the color is darker than it looks in the pictures but it is very rich. The color is more black than Brown5
I bought 2LavonaThese are really nice, easy to put together and solid.5
cabinetMichelelove this and the space for storage5
Solid fashionable useful.PaulGreat for the decor useful piece with the cabinet space and matching accessories that can be added to it. As usual ikea did great to making assembly easy with solid construction. Once again I’m impressed with Ikea’s inventory of selections.5
Known faulty hinge issueStacy R.So excited to get my 3 based cabinets and three glass door top cabinets, until I got to the hinges. The screws on the part that goes into the cabinet are stuck and won’t move. They go through two pieces of metal and the holes are not drilled right. After a lot of fighting and prying the back metal piece around to release them, I finally got four done. Only 20 more to go. I was hoping they’d be better in the next box but they’re all the same. An online search confirmed this is a known issue. What’s frustrating is it’s been known for years and still hasn’t been fixed. I love that it’s pine and they look great but this is really frustrating.3
Strong and good lookingComellaThis product is one of the best furniture and easy to assemble.5
Adequate CupboardlynneGenerally solid and made well. Easy to put together except for the hinges that were fiddly and took longer than the rest of the cupboard.4
Good ProductWayneGood Product, used to place wine fridge on top with storage for soda drinks and etc.5
Great for storage sturdy. AndVICTORIAGreat for storage sturdy. And the size is perfect. We bought two and have them side by side. We would recommend this product VICKI5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

What is solid wood?

Solid wood is one of our favorite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. Regardless of the wood species, it is durable, beautiful, renewable and recyclable. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood. This way, every tree is put to good use that little extra.
