Low cost means low qualityCatherineI live over 50 miles from the nearest IKEA. I purchased this dining set online sight unseen. I was shocked at the lightweight and flimsy product. That was disappointment enough but the chair pads are pretty awful (another review) and the Taskrabbit I paid for to assemble the table and chairs was another disappointment (another review). All in all I'm sorry that I can report only that the entire experience with this purchase was just awful. I now have a damaged table, damaged chair, and four chairs pads I hope to return. Never again, IKEA. Never.

For small apartment girlsMariahLove this! For the girls this is so easy to do by yourself! Easy to build, I will say when you have to build the chairs you will need a drill to drill in the nails for the seat part of chair. The directions have zero words only pictures but other than the fact that it doesn’t tell you that you have to drill in nails it was easy! I got a little pink drill and it worked easy! Perfect size for small apartment. I’m 5’7 and chairs height go up to my top thigh so it isn’t super high or big.

Missing HolesKemarI have had it with this company. Third peace of furniture I bought with defects presents. First I had a couch which came with holes to small and I had to find the correct screws after waiting over a week just to get an approval to see if I could get a replacement part. Second a coffee table missing holes and parts which luckily I had the equipment to place holes in. But this dining table was my last straw with ikea furniture. Parts of furniture came with holes too small and some instances missing. The quality insurance on these products needs serious improvements! It takes to much energy to put together furniture to get half way and realize it is defective in some fashion!!!!

Painful to assembleTom1. No holes on the back of the chairs' sitting plates, I've no power tools, tell me how to assemble.
2. No redundant parts, screws and wood pins are given in exact numbers, what if one's missing?
3. No tools for cross screws, I don't think a small tool would increase a lot of cost.
