I still needed a table and chair set and this one is PERFECT. Easy to assemble (only because I watched my 3 adult kids put it together. Just like old times!). I really wanted to love itEricaThe wood is like soft... it dings and scratches SO EASY! If you buy this also check every inch of it for like knots and spots that already want to chip. The clear coat is SO THIN. It looks beautiful, but it's just so easy to damage. Also the chairs can't be pushed in fully at the same time. So we push them in only 2/3 of the way.
Amazing table and chair setChloeMy Mom needed a new kitchen table and chairs for her apartment, so I assembled this and it looks perfect! Very sturdy and high quality, while not too expensive and easy to assemble. Mom is very impressed.
Quality is fantastic, but I have one qualmKatherineThe reason this table doesn’t get the full five stars is that the screws are slightly weaker than I would like and there are no extras in the set. So if one of them strips while you are building, you have to make do- two extra screws is all I ask. As for the chairs, I know it’s standard to not have pre-drilled holes for the screws to hold the seat to the frame, but it makes it very difficult for people with arthritis (such as myself) to apply enough pressure to place them.

Uneven stainLubainaThe pine is darker in some places and lighter in others its extremely noticeable in the chairs where part of the back rest is a nice shade of from and the leg pieces are much darker - better to just get the plain color and stain it yourself :/
Dining setSusanEasy to put together. No pre-drilled holes in the seat bottoms but the screws DO go into the wood with a little pressure on the screw driver. I’m 70 years old, female and have arthritis in my hands…and I was able to do it!😊
Nice but……NickThe one on display had a nice finish . When we got it home it was unfinished. Now I have to apply polyurethane on all 5 pieces.

Solid pine, very nice. I'm happy with this purchaseWayneThis is a very nice table; no particleboard, plywood or veneer. I chose the Antique stain finish which I like. Quick seamless delivery, pretty well packaged and assembly by myself was quick and easy. The table and chairs seem very sturdy. I only wanted a table but did not find one that was solid pine without the chairs - the chairs are nice and I will use them.
I would buy another HÄGERNÄS to use as a craft table if I could get one without chairs.
