Fits Over Radiant Baseboard Heaters!!CarrieFinally!!!! The Hemnes series always had our family jealous, but we could never make it work due to baseboard heaters along our entryway. We thought about modifying their legs, but ended up thinking it would look bad. Finally, IKEA came up with a shoe cabinet that has clearance for them! And, there are two depth options. Since we have a doorway here, we went with the four door and slimmer version. Just put to together by myself in about an hour, and there were no issues. It fits perfectly. If you’re like us and have baseboard heating, measure carefully and this could be the one you’ve been waiting years for! Thank you, IKEA! It’s the perfect fit for our split level entryway.5
As expectedJamesIt was a good project for my kids to assemble it together. Some screws and dowel pins were missing. It was good thing that I saved some from previous Ikea jobs. 5
Broken piecesJuliePurchased this shoe cabinet to fit in a tiny spot due to perfect measurements. When we were assembling the cabinet the back piece of wood broke into two, its the piece of wood that is used to attach this cabinet to the wall. We are using the cabinet, but now are afraid to add anything that might weigh a bit. We realize the broken piece when we were about 95% completed with assembling the cabinet. 2
