Good little dresser for the priceKristineThe only wood in this dresser are the knobs. The particleboard back and bottom panels give it weight, so at least it feels substantial.
The optional glass top has 3 holes drilled in it and it requires screws and unsightly metal clasps. I don’t like screw holes in fiberboard coated with Acrylic paint, so I ordered clear glass table top bumpers to keep it from sliding, although you do still have 3 holes along the back. About the assembly instructions. IKEA needs to invest in software that allows more precision in their illustrations. These are better than the ones that look like they were drawn freehand with a black marker, but they could be better.
The drawer slides for the cabinet are marked IKEA CL and IKEA CR. The L means left side, the R right, and those are stamped in the metal. The drawer slides that go on the drawers are stamped DL and DR, but the instructions do NOT include that information. I recommend using a magnetic Phillips screwdriver for the small screws.3
Sturdy and we like the new safety featureSerinaIt is very sturdy and looks fantastic. It took 3 hours (with a very distractible brain) to put together but well worth it. The new safety feature are genius. Our suggestion.... Take your time, look at the pictures in the instruction book and let the dresser off gas for a few hours before putting stuff inside.
We caught it on sale ($30 off) and it was worth the price.
Ikea for the win again!5
Not a good purchaseKathyI had two dressers delivered. One arrived damaged. The boxes was torn and interior items exposed. Plastic pieces for locking the drawers on hindges were broken. Top had damage.
Second dresser had oil like stains on the dresser backing pieces.
The dresser is wobbly. Drawers are not well designed and held together with plastic screws. I regret the decision of purchasing these dressers and do not recommend them.2
Works perfectlyAndiThis unit fit in my grandsons closet and holds all their off season clothes. Large drawers help to accommodate that need.5

Not goodMelanieUnfortunately the drawers broke after just a week. I'm so disappointed. It took me a while to build it to because the instructions lacks details. The wood is good quality but not the assembly parts.1
GullabergReginaPerfect size dresser and easy to put together.5
Good drawerAleksandraEverything is great, solid and practical. I especially liked that only one drawer can be opened at a time. Very happy with the purchase.5
Worth the costClaudiaWasn’t into the white but liked the spaciousness of the drawers. Felt like forever putting it together but glad it’s serving its purpose.5
Sub par quality, would not recommendJessicaI never write reviews but this product caught me off guard. First I bought this when they didn’t have Hemnes available. I wish IKea would allow me to return this product and exchange it for a Hemnes. For whatever reason this past spring they didn’t have the Hemnes available and since I had had a great experience with those I bought this. This dresser is flimsy. You are very much getting what you pay for here. The first one we brought home and it was missing parts so I then waited in line at the store over an hour for them to get us the missing parts which they didn’t have in stock. Online they could not have been nicer and they had to ship us a brand new dresser for the part. The missing part is not my complaint, it’s the paint. While I have two Hemnes dressers that have been used by children are both 6 plus years old they don’t show wear. This one showed wear a few months in. The paint is scratching off of it despite it being used by an adult and it looks cheap.1
Love itGwangWe bought this for storage and it's great5
ColorRicardoI wish they had black-brown color I would buy it1
Trickier to assembly but seems sturdy!MarsieThis dresser was probably one of trickier IKEA furniture pieces my husband and I have assembled; however, the dresser feels sturdier than some other drawered items we have previously purchased from IKEA. We like that only one drawer can be open at a time as a safety feature.
Addiontally, we are using this dresser in a nursery and doubling the top as a changing station. The height is decent for this double use (slightly high for my 5'-4" height, but a perfect height for taller folks). The top fits a standard changing pad and has a little extra space to place items.5
Small dresserUrszulaPerfect for a small bedroom5
Very niceAndresSturdy, looks nice, big drawers. Follow the instructions to assemble carefully.5
Excellent Quality and LookCristianYet another outstanding quality product from IKEA. It takes a while putting it together, but of course the outcome is worth it.5
Missing All HardwareAnonymous reviewerPurchased this for a spare bedroom. The piece looks good and seems sturdy, but it came with a major issue: no hardware was included, making it impossible to assemble. We picked this up at the Stoughton, MA store, and both boxes appeared factory-sealed, so this seems like more than a one-off mistake.
I’ve spent a significant amount of time trying to reach customer service by phone and chat. Each interaction has been frustrating, with agents unsure how to handle the situation. Today I was finally told it would take 7–10 days to receive the missing parts (over 100 pieces).
Overall, very disappointing experience. A product can look great, but without the necessary hardware and reliable customer support, it’s essentially unusable.1
3 drawer gullaberg dresser DanaSturdy and beautiful piece of furniture, deep drawers. Love the color and the simplicity of the cabinet. 5
Smoke and mirrorsJessicaThis is a hard review for me to submit. I bought this to update my child’s bedroom, to make her room more spacious. It seemed solid in store, and it looked nice. Bought and brought it home to assemble. It did take a really long time as I put it together solo, but it was very detailed. I liked the locking mechanism feature so more than one draw could not be opened at the same time. My child just turned 6. Within a week of having this, she pulled the door off (because of the locking feature). Put it back on. She’s done this so many times, the door face no longer stays on. I bought this in the beginning of June, it’s the beginning of August. I’m really frustrated as it’s not like I can just go buy a new piece for this to make it sit again. And I’m certainly not buying a whole new dresser over this. 2
DresserLindaVery sturdy and exactly what I wanted5
