Sturdy and quality materialEvangelineGood design. I wish there's some kind of brushed stainless trimming on the legs or stretcher; looks like something is missing; maybe a flat edge trim brushed on the front? without accent trimmings, the base almost looks like a child's high chair; good thing I bought two. Also, the legs are actually much darker.
Love itMarkI really love these Grönsta bar stools! They were really easy to assemble as it doesn't require any tools (you just hand tighten the legs) so they would be great stools to move/transport since they're easy to assemble & disassemble. I had to get them from a different store and get someone to ship them to me as my closest IKEA store was sold out of them since they're "Last Chance". It really is a shame that IKEA is discontinuing them as they're actually quite comfortable and stylish.

Perfect, solidStevenGRONSTRA’s design is so spot-on in every relevant aspect as to be unremarkable. Solid and comfortable, it provides an instant, nearly unnoticed sense of safety when one places all of one’s body weight on an unknown object—like a “trust-fall”, the mind tracks the potential jeopardy undertaken, and with GRONSTRA instantly perceives sturdiness and ease. At perfect kitchen-counter height, the stool is easy to mount and dismount, the seat being made of thick polypropylene and the foot-rail cast aluminum powder-coated to match the seat—so closely that I mistook it as PP. Both easily support all 6’5” and 195 pounds of me by the tuchus and groyse lopetes, and how they intersect with the 8 segments of bolt-inset wood legs is simply brilliant. To top it all, IKEA nailed the color story with the wood stain and creamy-cast PP seat and powder-coat—no small feat for a global company with a long history of color theory mistakes. And @ this price point? GRONSTRA gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

Perfect for a standing deskNotsetThis stool works great with my standing desk. I rarely choose to sit fully, so I really like being able to lean on it at an angle while I work. The height is just right, and it feels very comfortable for this kind of use. I also love that it’s lightweight and easy to move around. Overall, I’m very happy with it.

Looks great. Not comfortable. SharonI love the look of these stools, but they are not comfortable for sitting longer than 5min. Especially unfortunate is the foot rest bar which is oriented vertically so it cuts into your foot if you’re not wearing shoes.

Classic mid-century lookMaryThese are just the correct height for our server window counter and look great. They are low enough to fit entirely under the counter, so we don't worry about getting rained on, but I might sew some covers anyway to keep the Arizona dust at bay.
They are very comfortable and the footrest is at just the right height for us. I'm so pleased to have a backless design with comfy seats!

Wish I'd returned them, just okay.LindseyThe finish on the legs is very splotchy which I didn't notice until after a family member put them together and threw away the box haha. They said assembly was super easy tho!
Also, I didn't notice there are no drainage holes, so when it rains the seats fill up with water. Ours are located on a screened in porch but some rain still hits them.
