The surface of the kitchen island is made of stainless steel – a hygienic, hardwearing and durable material that is resistant to rust and easy to clean.
There is plenty of space on the shelves for detergents or barbecue tools and bowls.
The movable shelf is made of steel and has a durable, powder-coated surface that is easy to wipe dry.
Do not use a knife or other sharp objects directly on the shelf surface. Always use a chopping board.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Always wipe surfaces of stainless steel lengthwise for an even, shiny finish.
Wipe clean with a water dampened soft cloth and a mild non-abrasive dish detergent or soap, if necessary.
Do not use scouring-powder, steel wool, hard or sharp tools which can scratch the stainless steel surface.
When installed near the barbecue, do not place flammable objects on the back panel due to the risk of fire.

Pegboard incompatible with SKÅDIS accessoriesLizaMy one-star downgrade is for the back panel. This pegboard is not compatible with most other IKEA pegboard accessories. I don't like the green plastic accessories that come with this black pegboard so I bought black metal SKÅDIS accessories and was disappointed when they didn't work. The main part of the GRILLSKÄR is the perfect size and sturdiness for my outdoor cooking area, I ordered two, one with the back panel, one without. There is a way to bolt them together, and the feet are adjustable so you can level it. Leveling is a bit tricky but you'll save yourself my particular headache by attaching them together before trying to level the pieces.4

Modern and sturdyDianeLove this new shelving unit. Have it next to my grill for storing extra pans and grill supplies. The upper screen provides a bit of privacy from a neighbor and is great for keeping small grill tools and supplies. Put it together by myself, decent directions.5
Limited functionalityKerrySkadis pegboard components do not fit this product but other than that it is a great piece at a reasonable price. Would like to see more pegboard pieces available.5
