This kitchen island gives you extra storage space and a good work surface where you can prepare food before it's time to put it on the grill.
The work surface is made of stainless steel – a hygienic, hardwearing and durable material that is resistant to rust and easy to clean.
If you want to create an entire outdoor kitchen, you can complete with GRILLSKÄR barbeque and sink module, sold separately.
By mounting these doors with back/side panels on GRILLSKÄR kitchen island and sink unit, you transform the open shelves into closed cabinets for your outdoor kitchen.
The doors close tightly and are kept closed by a magnetic lock.
The movable shelf is made of steel and has a durable, powder-coated surface that is easy to wipe dry.
On the shelves there is plenty of space for plates, glasses, utensils and other things you need for the barbeque party.

Looks and functions great AmitNot the easiest to install due to 2 separate installation guides (one for main unit and one for the walls). If you assembled the main unit completely first, then you have to disassemble a little to install the walls/doors.

Terrible Assembly ProcessJingThe design of this cabinet is far below the usual IKEA standard, which makes the assembly frustratingly and unnecessarily difficult. First of all, the back metal panel was divided into two panels, presumably to fit in the small carton box. A flimsy mechanism was therefore designed to (barely) hold the panels together during the installation, which fails too easily and is practically useless. The second design flaw is that the installation of this back panel is impossible if the frame is not perfectly square. However, the frame won't be perfectly square at this stage without the middle shelf and braces, which can only be installed after the panels. This is another self-inflicted issue, created while trying to use the same manual/process for both the open shelf unit and this cabinet. I have put together countless pieces of IKEA furniture and almost always enjoy the design, but this one is the complete opposite. IKEA team, please fix.
Disappointed / AngryAndrewI also have a review for the charcoal grill attachment that I purchased. right away the cheep little magnets that keep the unit doors shut broke off in the first few weeks. I had a custom water proof cover made for the whole unit including the charcoal grill attachment. I uncovered it this spring to find the powder coating was bubbling and rust was showing through, everything inside the cabinet had mold growing on it (no air vents) big design flaw that they seem to have corrected in the new system. im stuck with an outdoor kitchen that's rusting after only a year.
Decent cabinet for the priceSharonI rarely have a problem putting together Ikea's flat pack furniture, but this one proved the exception. You must have two people, one of which is small enough to fit inside the cabinet while the other maneuvers the fittings from the outside. You would think the center shelf would keep the cabinet square, but the panels don't quite line up with the bracing, so it looks a little off...
Functionally, it works great. We got it to store a hibachi and a two burner gas "grill" designed for camping, so it can now both come in the car with us, or be pulled out and set on top of the cabinet to use it on our patio.
Doors won't stay on in windJeffBought this in December 2022. Doors repeatedly fall off in the wind. Even tried to move the cabinet to a protected area. They are held on with flimsy clips.
Loved the concept and the price. Didn't like the execution.
Tried to return it today. Store wouldn't take it at 7 months. Told them I was trying to make it work that is why I was past the 6 months. They said no.

Perfect prep table and storage.SusanExactly what i was looking for for next to the BBQ. Looks like a small kitchen read now. The price was not bad too. These little prep tables can be pretty expensive. Love the stainless steel top. It was a little confusing to put together the instructions were not too cleared. It also comes in two pieces shipped so i had to wait to have both pieces before assembling.
Great outdoor cabinetAnonymous reviewerI bought the grillskar cabinet to use as extra counter and storage space for an existing outdoor kitchen. The cabinet is solid and well-made. One person can assemble the main base, but you will need an extra pair of hands to put the outer panels on. If you are putting the panels on, you do not want to install the middle shelf on the base unit. You do not realize that until you open the panel box and look at the directions. The only element I did not love was the metal tabs you need to bend to secure the panels. I am not sure how well it will hold up. I could not line one tab up, so one panel is not in well. I am planning on getting another unit to put next to my original unit, so it should not be a huge problem.
Great look Tricky Assembley for back panelJeffreyI bought 2 of these to go side by side. I have been trying to get them for a while but always out of stock. They look great. Lots of storage. The thing is if you put 2 together the shelves gave to ge different hight. When the shelf is in the lower position, the back panel us not held in place well. I added support for rear panel to fix it. Definitely could easily have been designed better. The 2 piece back panel is a poor design. Should either be on piece or better way to hold it in place. Otherwise the unit is a good deal. Much cheaper than other options with a great look.

Great price but not the best optionMelissaI got this set because we wanted an affordable outdoor kitchen. The assembly of the table itself is very easy. It’s very sturdy as well. However, the installation of the doors and panels was a NIGHTMARE!!! The panels are easily bent and have several dents. It’s hard to get them attached as well. I was so frustrated with these doors that I actually cried. The stainless steel is a mirror for the sun. I didn’t consider how reflective it would be. You definitely need sunglasses while working with this set or you can place a towel on top to block the sun. We bought 3 cabinets and the grill. I also bought doors for the grill but had no idea doors couldn’t be installed. However, I did install the panels and that worked for me.

Incredible value, with only one minor flawMichaelThe value proposition of this item is unbeatable. Consider that Pottery Barn sells a comparable outdoor kitchen cabinet for almost TEN TIMES the price. The only weakness is side and back panels attach by bending metal tabs. This is not what I expect from IKEA, so that is disappointing. But the rest of the product is so excellent that you shouldn’t worry about that weakness. Can’t say enough good things about this product line.

Great valueSandyI was looking for a low cabinet to use in the garage that could double as a folding table for laundry. This fits the bill. Took off 1star for the somewhat odd way the back panel went on. Took both of us several attempts to hold the panel in place to get it screwed in.
Weird systemAgustinaAlthough the quality is good, this product has a weird system to open the doors. It got detached all the time so we had to actually tape it. Also, it has holes that allow the water to enter inside...
